I sit in silence for a couple of seconds.

"Ummm...okay. Do you want to tell me what happened?" I say looking down at my hands.

"It was a dare." Emma says quietly.

"So, you went along with the dare?" I ask in a agitated tone.

"NO!" Emma shouts. "Sorry, I don't know why I just yelled but no...I didn't go along with it.

"Please explain because I really don't want to be upset with you." I say.

"Somehow, this boy got ahold of my number and was telling me to meet him in the main hallway and if I didn't I would regret it." Emma says.

"What?" I say.

"Yeah it's crazy, I know. So, I left class and went to the main hallway because I didn't want something bad to happen...and when I got right by the boys bathroom, one of the guys kissed me and like 5 more of them came out of the bathroom." Emma says.

"You were the dare?" I ask quietly.

"Yeah." Emma says while looking at the ground.

"Em...are you okay?" I ask.

"Yeah..." Emma says quietly.

"No you're not." I say. "What's wrong?"

"I'm just tired of feeling like a freak, y'know?" Emma says.

"But you're not a freak Emma." I say.

"Yeah, sure." Emma says sarcastically.

"Well...I don't think you're a freak." I say quietly. "And even if you were, wouldn't I be one too? By association?"

"Association?" Emma asks.

"Yeah...freak by association." I say.

"You are such a dork." Emma chuckles.

She's smiling. That's what I wanted to see.

Emma pulls me in and gives me a kiss on the forehead. I start going in for her lips and Emma jumps up and laughs.

"Nope." Emma chuckles.

"Why are you always doing this to me?" I ask.

"I think it's funny." Emma laughs.

"One day I'm gonna do it to you and you'll see what it feels like." I say.

"Mhm. Sure." Emma says sarcastically,

"What's that supposed to mean?" I say with a confused look on my face.

"Lyss I don't think you could resist...this." Emma says as she does a stupid pose.

"Yes I can." I say with a determined look on my face.

"Okay stand in front of me and don't break." Emma says with a smirk.

I stand in front of Emma and look at her directly in her eyes. Then my eyes slowly start falling towards her lips.

"Damnit." I say as I turn away from her. "Alright you win."

"I knew I wasn't wrong." Emma smirks.

"Oh ha ha." I say sarcastically before I place one hand Emma's cheek and pull her in with the other. I kiss her softly.
