Oliver had now been working at QC for a week and he had been shadowing Walter so that he knew what the CEO job entailed. Walter was going to turn everything over to Oliver next week and he was also going to stay on with the company so that he could help Oliver whenever he needed it. It would also help Oliver with Walter there, in case he and the team had to leave the city for some reason.

"You are doing well Oliver. I knew you would after a while, but I thought it might take you longer. I guess running the club has helped you out a bit with experience." Walter said.

"Yeah, I got some experience at the club. I know it is not quite the same, but some aspects are." Oliver said.

"Yes, I am sure somethings are similar in the two businesses. So how is Laurel's campaign coming along?" Walter asked.

"It is seeming to be going well. She needs some more investors. I thought about giving her some money from my trust fund, but then I thought that it might look good for the company to support her." Oliver said.

"That is a good idea. I can try to do that before I turn everything over to you next week so that it doesn't look like as much of a conflict of interest." Walter said.

"I am sure she will appreciate that Walter. I know I do. So, is there anything else that we need to do today. I have plans with my wife tonight." Oliver said.

"No, nothing else to do today. Go and enjoy your time with your wife before those kids get here." Walter said.

"Thank you, Walter. I will see you tomorrow." Oliver said.

"Goodbye, Oliver." Walter said.

Oliver left QC and went to Laurel's campaign office to see how she was doing. When he walked into her office, he saw that she was very busy, so he just sat down in the chair on the other side of her desk and waited for her to finish her work. Once she was done with her work she looked up at Oliver and said, "Let's go get something to eat. I need a break from this place."

"What are you craving today. Might as well kill two birds with one stone and go get something to eat that you are craving." Oliver said.

"I am actually feeling some Chinese food tonight. Is that ok with you?" Laurel asked.

"I am fine with whatever you want. So, how was your day?" Oliver asked.

"It was pretty good. It looks like I am doing even better in the polls now then I was last week at this time." Laurel said.

"That's good. So, how far are you ahead of Ruve now?" Oliver asked.

"I think it is about five points difference between us now. I am surprised that I am that high. She knows what she is talking about, so it just surprises me that she is not closer in the polls then she is." Laurel said.

"The people in this city know you and they know that you will do what is best for them and the city. They do not know Ruve." Oliver said.

"I guess you have a point. So, how are things at QC?" Laurel asked.

"Walter said that I should be ready to do things on my own next week. He said that running the club is really helping me with managing things. He also says that he is going to make a donation to your campaign on the company's behalf." Oliver said.

"Well, that is nice of him. I have to agree with him as well. You working at the club gave you managerial training and now you can use that at QC." Laurel said.

"Yeah, I guess so." Oliver said.

They ate and just talked about nothing important. Soon they got on the topic of the kids. "Do you think we should have invited our future kids to eat with us?" Laurel asked.

"No, we needed this time. We will see them when we get home. We do need to see how we are doing with things so that we know if we are doing enough to change the future." Oliver said.

"I think now that we have that information on both of the Darhks, it will help us take them down sooner. We just need to take our time and find either their hideout or home so we can take them down and then leave the information for the police to find and keep them in prison for a long time." Laurel said.

"I agree. At least you have some protection to go against him if Darhk decides to come after you." Oliver said.

"Yeah, that is nice to know that I can protect myself from his magic at least." Laurel said.

"Yeah, that is good. So, what do you say we go home, and I give you a massage? I know you have been pretty stressed lately." Oliver said.

"That sounds good. I do feel stressed. It probably wasn't the best idea to run for mayor while pregnant." Laurel said.

"Laurel, you are always stressed, so it wouldn't have mattered if you were running for mayor or not." Oliver said.

"True. So, let's get home and relax. I can't wait for this next four months to be over. That way we will have the kids and things with me will be back to a kind of normal." Laurel said.

"Laurel, you know our lives have never been normal." Oliver said.

"It was before you got on the Gambit." Laurel said.

"Are you sure about that? You know, with me being famous and all, we never had normal date like other people do. We always had the media following us because of me." Oliver said.

"Oliver, I knew that was part of your life when I decided to go out with you. It is what I signed up for and I don't regret a minute of it." Laurel said.

"Well, I am glad to hear that. So, let's get you home and relaxed." Oliver said and Laurel nodded as they left the restaurant.
