The Return of the Queens

Chapter 51

Felicity had finally found some more information on where the team might could find Diaz. She waited for all of the team members to get to the bunker and then she told them everything that she knew.

"I found a place that Diaz could be staying. It is well guarded, and It is in the area of town where there will always be a lot of people around, therefore there is going to be a chance that some people might get hurt in the crossfire." Felicity said.

"That means that we will have to do this quietly then. Talia how would you like to help us with this?" Oliver asked.

"I think I could use something to do other than training so I will join you. It will be interesting to see you all at work in the field." Talia said.

"Well, let's suit up and see if we can finish Diaz for good tonight." Oliver said and everyone went to suit up.

The team got to the building that Diaz was using for his base and they started to use their stealth skills to take down all of the guards outside so that there would be no innocents injured. It didn't take them long to do this because there were ten men outside and seven of them. Roy got up to the roof so that he could take down any reinforcements that showed up as Sara, Thea, and Talia entered the west entrance and Oliver, Laurel, and Barbara entered the east entrance.

Once everyone was inside, they started to do the same to the men inside as they did to the ones outside. They had taken everyone out on the first floor and now they were moving to the second floor. According to Felicity there were going to be five people on the second floor, so Oliver told Talia and Thea to follow him and Sara, Laurel, and Barbara to stay and watch the ground floor to make sure that everything was clear until this was finished.

As they reached the second floor there was a man waiting there but his back was turned to them. Oliver went up behind him and put him in a choke hold until he passed out. As Oliver was putting the man down, Thea and Talia past him to go and engage the rest of the men. This was done quietly as well and that left two more men that Oliver and Thea took out. Now they were on their way to the third and final floor of the build. Felicity said that there were only three people on this floor. Two men guarding a door and one man inside of that room. Thea and Talia attack the men that are outside of the room while Oliver goes and breaks down the door and enters the room.

"Ricardo Diaz, you have failed this city." Oliver said.

"And how have I done that. I am not the reason that there is a terrorist attack here every year. I think that is more your thing." Diaz said.

"At least I am trying to make this city a better place. You are just trying to use it for your own personal gain. Now if you come peacefully, I won't have to hurt you. So, it is your choice." Oliver said.

"Do you really think it was going to be that simple Green Arrow, or should I say Oliver Queen." Diaz said.

"How do you know who I am?" Oliver asked.

"I have contacts that know a lot of stuff. So, if you want your identity to stay a secret you will let me go free." Diaz said.

"I don't think so. I do not bow to terrorist." Oliver said.

"Have it your way, but if you arrest me everyone will know who you are tomorrow." Diaz said.

"How would they know that if you are in jail." Oliver asked.

"I have my ways." Diaz said.

"Will it be through word of mouth or do you have something electronic set up?" Oliver asked.

"It will be by word of mouth because I can't trust anyone else with this information. They will only use it for themselves." Diaz said.

"That does make since, but maybe you should have given to some else to send in." Oliver said.

"And why is that?" Diaz asked.

"Because I know how to stop you from releasing the information now." Oliver said as he then attacked Diaz who was having a hard time keeping up because when Oliver uses all of his skills and doesn't hold back, not many people can hang with him in a fight.

Oliver was quickly wearing Diaz down. Diaz would still get a few good shots in but not enough to really hurt Oliver. Finally, Oliver got Diaz in a choke hold and Diaz said, "If you knock me out, you will have cops at your door tomorrow morning."

"I don't have to worry about that." Oliver said.

"And why is that?" Diaz said.

"Because if I kill you can't release the information." Oliver said.

Diaz's eyes went wide at this because he knew that the Green Arrow didn't kill unless he had to so he thought the only way that this would end was either he would go free, or he would go to prison and then he would reveal the Green Arrow's identity. He never considered that he would die. He had completely underestimated Oliver Queen and now he would pay for it with his life.

Oliver held the choke hold for a bit longer to let Diaz think about this before he twisted the man's neck, snapping it. Oliver let Diaz's dead body down to the ground and left the room to meet up with the rest of the team outside of the building. They all left because they heard the sirens from the police cars approaching.

When they got back to the bunker everyone changed into the street clothes and then decided that they would go home and call it a night because they had accomplished their goal of taking down Ricardo Diaz and once again saving the city for the time being.
