Chapter 53

The next night Oliver was training with Talia to make sure that he was ready when Ras showed up in the city. When they were done training, Oliver decided that it was time to have his talk with Talia.

"Talia do you mind if we talk in private?" Oliver asked.

"Yes Oliver. Lead the way." Talia said.

Oliver took Talia to a back room of the bunker and shut the door. "I will give you the ring once I end your father. I do have a few conditions though." Oliver said.

"Name them. I will owe you anyways." Talia said.

"The League is not allowed in Star City unless they are asked to be here." Oliver said.

"I can agree with that. What else?" Talia asked.

"If we ever need your help, you will come no questions asked, as many times as we ask you for help." Oliver said.

"I can do that. I would owe you a lot, being that you gave me this power." Talia said.

"I thought you would be agreeable to these terms." Oliver said.

"They will not be hard to follow. Anything else?" Talia asked.

"I have heard about the Lazarus pit that is in Nanda Parbat. If we ever need it for any reason, my team and any of my friends from other cities will be able to use it." Oliver said.

"I can allow that, although I might have a better idea. There are other pits around the world. I can tell you where they are, and you can have your own." Talia said.

"Ok, that sounds good to me. So, we have an agreement then?" Oliver asked.

"Yes, we do Oliver. I will owe you a lot, so I don't see a problem with what you are asking for." Talia said.

"Good. Well, I am going to go out on patrol. I took off last night. I need to let people know that I am still around." Oliver said as he went to change into his suit and then went to his motorcycle and left to go out on patrol like everyone else was.

"Felicity, is there anything that I need to be on the lookout for?" Oliver asked over his comms.

"Well, there is some kind of bank robbery going on at the bank just ahead of you. Something that looks weird. The caller said that the people inside are wearing suits that resemble Talia's." Felicity said.

"Looks like the League might finally be in town. Get the rest of the team here as soon as they can get here. I am going in." Oliver said.

"Don't you think you should wait for backup?" Felicity asked.

"There is not enough time. They will kill everyone if I don't get in there now." Oliver said.

"Ok, I will get in touch with the others and tell them to get to the location as soon as possible." Felicity said.

"Thanks." Oliver said as he went inside.

"Everyone, Oliver is at the bank on 38th and Madison. It looks like members of the League are there. He told me to get you all there as soon as possible." Felicity said.

"We are on the way." Thea said.

"Copy." Roy said.

"On the way." Sara said.

"Be there soon." Laurel said.

"I am almost there." Barbara said.

"Oliver, the team will be there soon." Felicity said.

"Good. I could really use some help here. There are more of them then I thought there was." Oliver said.

Just then, Batgirl crashed through the window and started to take on some of the men that Oliver had been facing on his own. Not long after Artemis showed up and started to fight as well. Everything was a lot easier now that more of Team Arrow was there. Not long after that Black Canary and Arsenal showed up and everything was so much easier now. Once White Canary showed up, the fight was almost over. Once all of the men who looked like League members were knocked out, there was a clapping noise from behind them. The team looked back and saw a man standing there.

"I am impressed. I think Green Arrow would have eventually taken them all out on his own, but it went quicker with all of you, that is for sure." The man said.

"And who might you be?" Artemis asked although she was sure she already knew.

"I am Ras Al Ghul. The Demon's Head. I am the head of the League of Assassins." Ras said.

"Ok, so what is it that you want?" Green Arrow asked.

"I am looking for a heir to my throne. I am here to offer it to you Green Arrow." Ras said.

"No interested. I have my own city to take care of. I don't need anything else to look after." Green Arrow said.

"Oh, you think I was giving you a choice. No, this is a position that you will take, or I will destroy your city. You have three days to make your decision. I will meet you out by the bay waiting for your answer." Ras said as he turned to leave.

"So, do you think you are ready for this?" Black Canary asked.

"I guess we will see. I am headed back to the bunker to do some more training with Talia. Maybe she will know what I should do. Go to the League or fight now. I don't want to do that if she doesn't think I am ready." Green Arrow said.

"I can understand that. Let's get back. I could use some more work with the sword as well." Artemis said.

"Alright. Tie these guys up and leave them for the police. We have other more important things to worry about." Green Arrow said as he and the other team member started tying the League members up.

Once they all got back to the bunker Oliver and Thea changed back into their workout clothes and started working on their sword skills with Talia.

"I think you are ready Oliver. I don't think you will need to join the League. You can end this in three days." Talia said.

"Well, that is a relief because I didn't want to go, and I was considering not going anyways." Oliver said and Talia nodded as they got back to their training.
