The Return of the Queens

Chapter 62

A few weeks later Oliver and Thea were on the way home from the office, and they were trying to decide what to do that night. They had an easy few weeks since the Ninth Circle had been taken down. The team had only had to worry about petty crime and little crimes. Nothing big like the Ninth Circle or someone like Slade Wilson.

"So, what do you and Laurel have planned for the night?" Thea asked.

"We were thinking about watching a movie with the kids. Do you want to join? There is more than enough room for you, Sara, and Nora." Oliver said.

"I will mention it to them. I am sure they will be up for that." Thea said.

"So, was there anything that went on at work today that I should know about?" Oliver asked.

"Nothing that warrants the president's attention. Everything is going well on my end. I am glad that I decided to come and work with you again. I had missed that since you left the club." Thea said.

"I have missed it too Speedy. I am just glad that everything is going well, and we aren't messing everything up." Oliver said.

"I think Walter would be there to help us if something like that ever happened. I am glad that we are finally getting to know our sister though. Maybe we should invite her over sometime." Thea said.

"How about we call her and see if she wants to come over and spend some time getting to know her nieces and nephew tonight?" Oliver asked.

"I think that is a great idea. We can make it a full family night. It will be fun." Thea said.

The car finally reached the mansion and the two siblings walked inside to see that the rest of the family had already arrived. Oliver walked into the living room and saw the kids and asked them, "Hey guys. What do you say to watching a movie tonight and inviting your aunt Emiko over?"

The kids jumped up and down, happy that they were going to get to watch a movie and that they would finally get to learn more about their new aunt. They ran to find Nora and see if she wanted to watch a movie with the as well.

"Have you called Emiko yet?" Laurel asked.

"I am about to now. I guess, if she says she doesn't want to come, I could use the kids to guilt trip her." Oliver said.

"Haha, yeah that might actually work, because she seems to love the kids whenever she is around them." Laurel said.

"So, what is this I hear about watching a movie tonight?" Sara said as she walked in.

"I thought it would be a good family night. I am about to call Emiko and see if she wants to come as well. The only problem is that we are going to have to watch something Disney because the twins aren't old enough to watch anything else yet." Oliver said.

"That fine. Most Disney movies are pretty good anyways. There are some that I didn't like, but for the most part I like them." Sara said.

Thea walked into the room and let them all know that she had already called Emiko and that she would be over in about an hour. While they were waiting for Emiko to show up, they allowed the kids to play in the toy room for a while. They were all enjoying themselves when suddenly, a man appeared out of nowhere.

"Who the hell are you and what the hell are you wearing?" Thea asked.

"My name is Mar Novu, and I am known as the monitor. I watch over the multiverse and help to protect it." Novu said.

"Ok, so what does that have to do with you just appearing in our house like this?" Oliver asked.

"I am here to warn you about the coming crisis. It could end all the multiverse. You must bring together all of the heroes on this earth in order to fight in this event." Novu said.

"Why should we trust you? You haven't shown us anything that will tell us that you are telling the truth." Laurel said.

Novu walked over to the television and touched it and they were able to see what had happened to what was known as Earth 2 not to long ago. "This happened on what was known as Earth 2 two weeks ago. It wiped out the whole earth. No one survived it." Novu said.

"Shit. If this is coming, how are we supposed to stop it. I mean how do we stop a cloud?" Sara asked.

"You don't stop the cloud; you stop the man known as the Anti-Monitor. He is my opposite, and he is trying to destroy the multiverse." Novu said.

"Ok, we will get a team together that will allow us to fight in this crisis. How long do you think we have before it starts here?" Oliver asked.

"It has already started Mr. Queen. You probably have another week before he comes to this earth and tries to destroy it. So, I would get to working on assembling your team as soon as possible. You and your sister are the reason that we will win this fight. The two of you are the ones who sparked the new age of heroes, which makes you two the ones who will win this for your earth and the rest of the universe." Novu said.

"What does that mean exactly?" Thea asked.

"It means that everyone will follow you and when it is time, the two of you will lead the fight against the Anti-Monitor." Novu said.

"Ok. Not that I don't believe you, because I know all the other heroes look up to Ollie and Thea, but what makes you say that they will be the reason that we win this?" Laurel asked.

"The years that Oliver and Thea spend on the island of Lian Yu, which is an island at some Nexis point, which mean that the island is magical, so they picked up some things from the island that are now dormant. I will activate it for them at the right time and they will have powers that will help take down the Anti-Monitor." Novu said.

"No offense, but I want nothing to do with any powers." Oliver said.

"None taken, but in order to win this fight you will have to use these powers. There is no way other than using your powers." Novu said.

"Fine, we will do what needs to be done. We will contact the rest of the heroes on this earth and be ready when it is time to fight." Oliver said.

"Good. I will be back when it is time." Novu said as he disappeared.

"Well, it looks like family night is off." Laurel said as she and Sara went to break the news to the kids.
