The Return of the Queens

Chapter 40

Felicity was finally able to fine some information on where the Darhk family was living, and she got the team to meet her in the bunker. When everyone was there Felicity said, "I have found where Darhk is living. He is living in a mansion just outside of the city. I will send you the address and hopefully we can end this tonight."

"Ok, everyone suit up. It is time to finally end this. Do you two want to go as well?" Oliver asked his future kids.

"Yes, we have wanted to stop this guy for most of our lives, so of course we are in." Conner said.

"Well go and get ready. We will be leaving soon." Oliver said.

Conner walked out in his Green Arrow suit and Olivia walked out in her Black Canary suit. It was the first time that any of the adults had seen them in their suits and it looked like they were honoring their parents very well in the future.

The team left the bunker and got to the residence that was owned by the Darhks and they started to take out all of the guards that were guarding the grounds as quickly and quietly as possible. Once they were done with that they busted in through the doors and windows.

"Well, I have to say I am surprised that you and your team finally found me. I was going to come after you soon anyways. Your team has stopped everything that I have been trying to do since I got here, and I finally realized that if I needed something done that, I was going to have to do it myself." Darhk said.

"Too bad you and your organization will be finished after tonight." Green Arrow said.

"And how do you plan on stopping me? You know what I am capable of." Darhk said.

"Yes, you were a member of the League of Assassins and you have an idol that gives you powers. Sorry to inform you but that doesn't scare us." Artemis said.

"Well, it should scare you." Darhk said as he waved his hand and sent everyone but Green Arrow and Artemis flying through the air.

"The rest of you go outside and make sure no one can come in and back him up. We will take care of Darhk." Green Arrow said.

The team exited the house to be on lookout incase any of the Ghosts showed up to help out. Darhk was confused as to why Green Arrow and Artemis didn't seem to be affected by his powers.

"Oh, you must be wondering why we are able to bypass your magic. We got these cool tattoos while we were away on Lian Yu and it has the power to negate your magic." Artemis said.

"Ok, that was unexpected. I guess I will have to kill you the hard way then." Darhk said as he attacked the two archers.

Darhk was good. He seemed to be holding his own against what seemed to be two younger fighters. Green Arrow and Artemis finally figured out that they needed to not attack at the same time but wait for Darhk to attack one of them and then the other would attack from another direction. This strategy seemed to work. When Darhk would turn to one of them the other would hit him from behind.

This strategy was starting to wear on Darhk because he was not quick enough to take on both of the vigilantes the way that they were attacking him. He knew that he was about to lose so he knew that if he could do nothing else that maybe he could at least take out one of the vigilantes. He pounced on Artemis and put her on the ground and made sure that she was pinned down. He didn't expect what happened next. He knew that the vigilantes would kill, but it looked like they were trying to do it a different way for the most part, which is why he was surprised when he felt an arrow pierce his back and he looked down and saw that the arrow had also pierced his chest.

Darhk feel back and realized that he was quickly bleeding out and that he would not last much longer. "I thought I had everything planned out so well. How were you able to be ahead of me at every step?" Darhk asked.

"Let's just say we had some visitors that knew how you worked, and we just used that information to get ahead of you." Green Arrow said.

Darhk soon died and Green Arrow and Artemis walked outside to see that White Canary had Ruve Darhk with her, tied up. "Now we can use that information that we have had for months to make sure she stays in prison for the rest of her life." White Canary said.

"Yes. I feel sorry for the kid though. What will happen to her?" Arsenal asked.

"She will go into Child Protective Services. Hopefully, she will find someone who is good to her." Batgirl said.

"Unfortunately, that is not the case. Maybe we can find a way to change that." Conner said.

"Yeah, we should try to find a solution to that." Olivia said.

They heard the sirens getting close and left. When they got back to the bunker, they all relaxed for a while before changing into their street clothes and going home.

Thea and Sara had talked about doing something to try and help Nora Darhk out so that she wouldn't have to go into foster care. The next day they showed up to Child Protective Services and asked if it was possible for them to become foster parents to Nora. They knew that they would be able to keep her straight, because Conner and Olivia had told them that in the future Nora had been against them in the beginning, but they finally were able to change her over to the good side and they had become friends.

"I don't see where this will be a problem. If you will please fill out the paperwork and we will do background checks and everything and maybe in a few weeks to a month you should be able to get custody of Nora Darhk." The director said.

"Thank you. We would like to get this done as soon as possible. We decided that we wanted a girl that and we didn't want a baby, so we think that this is the best option for us." Thea said.

"Sounds good to me. I will get to work on everything, and we will let you know something in a few weeks." The director said.

"Ok, Thank you." Sara said and the two of them left the office and headed to the bunker to tell the team what they had decided to do to help out Nora Darhk.
