Oliver and Thea were training so that Oliver would be ready for Ras when he came to their city. They were still hoping that Talia would think that Oliver was good enough to beat Ras right when he arrived, but they also had to be ready to become a part of the League for a little while. Oliver had made up his mind and he knew that he wanted nothing to do with the League once this was over, but he would make a deal with Talia that would benefit him, since he was the one who was giving her this power.
"I have thought about what I am going to do once I take down Ras. I am going to give Talia that power. I want nothing to do with it. I am going to make a deal with her though, being that I am the reason that she will have this power." Oliver said.
"What do you have in mind?" Thea asked.
"I am going to tell her that whenever we need any help she will come to our aid or she won't get what she wants the most." Oliver said.
"That is actually a smart move. You never know when we might need an army of our own." Thea said.
"My thoughts exactly. You are getting good at this sword fighting as well. I think we will make a good team in the League if we have to go." Oliver said.
"We have always made a good team brother. You just like to think that you are better than me at everything." Thea said.
"Not everything. So, what do you have planned for tonight?" Oliver asked.
"I think I am just going to take it easy at home. I need the rest time. We have been training a lot lately. I think you could use some resting time as well. Go home and be with Laurel and the kids." Thea said.
"I think that is a good idea. I think Sara already took the night off and I think Laurel was thinking of doing the same. If Barbara and Roy want to go out, they can, or they can take off as well. The city will be fine for one night.' Oliver said.
"Don't jinx it Ollie. You know just because you said that we will be called in later." Thea said.
"We all deserve a night off. We can let the police try to do their job for once." Oliver said.
"I guess you are right. So, how are things going for you at QC and Laurel being back at City Hall after her maternity leave?" Thea asked.
"Things at QC are going good. I think I am starting to pick stuff up finally. I am nowhere near ready to take over, but I am learning what needs to be done. As for Laurel, she is a natural leader. The city will be in good hands for as long as she is mayor." Oliver said.
"I agree. Things at the club are going well. I miss having you there, but I know it looks better for Laurel's sake for you to have a job that make you look good so that she doesn't look bad." Thea said.
"Yeah, I miss being there with you as well. Although that wasn't really my scene anymore. The island and everything we went through those five years we were away kind of changed that for me." Oliver said.
"I know. It was always there to be a cover anyways. The only reason that I am still there is because I need some kind of income." Thea said.
"You know there is a job for you at QC if you want it. It has always been there waiting for you all you have to do is say you are ready, and it is yours." Oliver said.
"I have been thinking about that a lot lately. I will still own the club and then I can work with you again at QC." Thea said.
"It will be like old times. You and me against the world." Oliver said.
"As it should be. What position would I have anyways?" Thea asked.
"You would be the head of Applied Sciences. That is a good thing for us because you can oversee the development of some of the things that might help us at our night job." Oliver said.
"Sounds fun. When do you think you will take over the company? I mean, I am sure that Walter is looking to retire sometime." Thea said.
"Once all of this with Ras is over and we know that we have control of everything that is going on in the city, I might consider it, but that is going to be a while." Oliver said.
"I understand that. So, when you take over, who takes your job?" Thea asked.
"That would be you little sis. Although, the way you have been running the club, I was wondering if you wouldn't be the better CEO for the company." Oliver said.
"I don't know if I am ready for that Ollie. I appreciate the confidence, but we both know that dad thought of you as his replacement." Thea said.
"That was because you were not out of high school yet and he didn't know any better. You were always the one who was running things at the club, even when I was there. I know that you can do the job." Oliver said.
"There is no need to even think about this now. I mean, it is like you said, we still have a lot to take care of before we even have to think about taking over the company." Thea said.
"That's true. So, let's head to the mansion so that we can relax like we were planning on doing tonight. We don't get these kinds of nights to often. We need to take advantage of the ones that we get." Oliver said.
"Yeah, you are right about that. Let's get home and spoil those little babies of yours and that teenager of mine." Thea said as they both headed to change out of their training clothes so that they could head home for the night to spend the night with their family.
