"You... Why are you here?" You asked at the guy you thought will never appear in your life again.
The man sitting across at the same table soared the tails of his lips. "Long time no see, (Y/n)."
He crossed his long legs under the table. Looking at you with excitement using his rounded but sharp eyes that resemble the eagle's, he scratched his crimson brushed up hair. Junhui is still as handsome as ever; pointed nose, heart shape lips and small face. But it won't change the consequences of your ugly past with him. Yes, his visual is heart fluttering yet it is not enough to like him again.
"What a bomb," you laughed scornfully. "Did you plan this? It's me who's only surprised at this sudden encounter."
"Well," Junhui inhaled. "Your original blind date is really a friend of mine. But his schedule mushed up so he asked me to go instead. When he told me your name, I was shocked too," he breathed, pressing his chest. "You don't know how happy I am that it turned out to be the (Y/n) I know."A pleasing smile escaped from his mouth as he placed his elbow above the table and put his chin at the back of his head. He watched you as if he's looking at his favorite flower that won't wither even in winter.
In life, there are people we really hated to encounter: our ex, worst enemy, a wicked teacher of our childhood days, a random person who burped in front of you, a relative who always asked us about our marriage date, etc.
Among those people, Jun stands at the uncomfortable relationship. He is not your ex boyfriend or an enemy. Simply, he's a guy you almost date with but things between the two of you went bad so it didn't work out.
'This is really awkward,' you sighed inwardly. To leave or stay, the hesitation troubled you and then minutes of silence passed by.
"Aren't you happy to see me?" Jun broke the ice, swirling his hands like he's asking a 'what?' question.
If you're a frank person, you'll definitely say: Yes, I am not.
"Yes. I'm not."
Because you ARE REALLY A FRANK person, you did say what came inside your head.
Moving his brows upward, Junhui took a deep breath, before a fake cough of his snapped. His ears turned red, as well as his nape. Jun really doesn't know how to reply your answer because he, at least, expected that you'll be considerate.
But you are a straight-forward person. 'Isn't this the reason why I like her?' Jun just laughed at this thought inside his head.
"But for your friend's sake, I won't walk out," she added, not displaying an expression of great interest. "So let's order foods, eat and then go in separate ways. Shall we?" You raised your hand and call for the waiter.
Watching you without words, Jun smiled sadly at the side.
"Give me a steak, medium rare. And this red wine," you ordered.
"I'll have a steak too, but well-done. Give me the same wine she ordered." Jun gave the menu back to the waiter.
As soon as the waiter left, another thick silence settled. You are also showing how much you hated to start a conversation by avoiding his gaze. Yet Jun is a king of perseverance.
"So, where are you working?" He asked.
You took a sip of the water.
"I am working as a model in a big company," he shared as if he's talking at himself.
You picked up your phone and checked if there's a message for you. But there's none.
"You know," Jun continued. "I never dated anyone after I met you."
