"Do you want to be my night buddy?" He asked.

Thus, my unique relationship with Jeonghan started at our company team building outing.

"Did you find a place to stay?" Jean asked me during our coffee break.

"I did. I'm staying with a friend," I answered.

"Really? That's good then. It's hard to commute everyday so living in the city is a must."

"Hehe, right."

Working in the company, I spent many years going back and forth from my workplace to our home travelling for 4 hours. So I decided to find a place near the city and be an independent woman.

However, looking for place is harder than I expected. A single basement room with no sunlight is so expensive. Dorms are almost packed within industrials area so it took me months of searching. In the end, I failed.

"You're going now?"

"Huh? Ah yeah."

"To your new place?"

"Hmmm. I have to unpack my things so I won't be able to go to our company dinner."

"Awww. It's no fun without you, (Y/n)."

"Geez, we can hang out next time."

"Tssss. Take care on your way."

"Thanks! You too. Enjoy with everyone."

After bidding farewell to my co-worker, I went to a condo unit. Standing in front of the door, I tried to remember the door password.

"What is it again?"

I checked my phone and re-read a chat from someone.

[The password is 1004]

"1004. Right! It is his birth date!"

I pressed the numbers then heard a clinking sounds of an unlocked door. As I walked in, the relaxing scent penetrated to my nose. Every crook is clean and no one will think that the owner of this unit is a man. Except that the interiors are very simple. Well thinking about his personality, he seems he's not into colorful themes. The furniture are either black, white, gray, beige or dark brown.

"It's elegant." I nodded my head to agree to my own statement.

I put my bag above the couch and walked inside the room. After unpacking my clothes, I went to the kitchen to have ramen. As if this place is mine, I took a bath, wear my pajamas then went straight to my bed.

"This is weird," I murmured while looking at the ceiling. "I'm already comfortable."

Usually, it's hard for me to stay in place that's not familiar. Today is my first night here so it's surprising that I feel greatly okay.

Is it because it's his house?

"Wait a minute. This unit is very expensive. How could he pay it monthly?"

Stomping my feet on the bed, I took many guesses of his financial status. While thinking, I heard a sound of an opening door from outside the room.

'He's here!'

I quickly sat up, staring at the entrance of the room that soon will open too.

Next, an screeching sound of the opening door filled the silence. As soon as he came in, I smelled a reek of alcohol. Our eyes, then, met.

"Oh? You're still up," he greeted with a beam.
