"Why don't you try marrying someone again?" they all commented the same thing.

It's been a year since my husband died from an accident. After the tragic incident, I went back to my family in the province with a hope of coping up the pain from my husband's death. Yet, I could say nothing has changed from the first day I came back, till today.

"Are you okay?" they asked.

Usually, I replied with a smile. But at night, I always lock myself in my room and cry for his name until the abyss knocked me out. All of my days after his death was a nightmare. It was. And it will be for tomorrow.

Other people thought that replacing the hole in my heart, which is searching for another guy to marry, would healed my sorrow. For some cases, it did help. But for me? I don't think someone can replace Dokyeom. I can't imagine seeing another man on my bed when I opened my eyes in the morning. Surely, I rather cry in the morning while looking at the empty side of my bed.

So I spent my days without any plan of moving on from him. Never. Ever.

"Oh! Look out!"

I lifted my head to where I have heard a loud warning.

Falling leaves. Wet grass. A man. Back pain. Everything went too fast that my brain couldn't process what the hell just happened in a blink of eye. But one thing is clear, I was ambushed from the man above.

"Ouch."

"Argh."

Groans appeared here and there. When I opened my eyes, I found a man in front of me. Our gazes locked, and at that moment, I realized that I haven't seen this guy in our hometown even from before. Rigid fox-like eyes, straight nose and small face, he has a cold handsome prince aura which didn't match the falling leaves background behind him. If it is snowing today, it'll be perfect.

"Are you okay?" he asked in slow pace with a baritone voice that is as deep as the Pacific Ocean. I eyed his Adam's apple, wondering how amazing it is to produce this low voice that can shaken a maiden's heart, then back to his worried eyes.

After a while, I detached my lips. "What... happened?"

The man moved a bit away before he explained, "I jumped down from the tree. But it was too late when I saw you standing beneath the tree so..." With his incomplete answer, the guy scratched his reddened ear and had his downcast eyes.

Automatically, I scanned the tree that he was talking about. Questions piled up in my head like, 'Why did you climb up on the tree?' But I decided not to make our encounter goes any longer by not asking anymore.

"I see." My back still hurts but I can manage to stand up.

While putting strength on my knees, I heard the man continued, "I was actually saving a cat. That's why I climbed up."

"I didn't ask though," I whispered to myself, making sure it'll remain hidden from him.

"Huh?" he muttered.

I replied, "Nothing." Then forced a smile on my lips.

We both stood up. I wiped my butt while he wiped his hands.

"Are you really sure you're okay?" He repeated, crumpling his brows. "I can take you to the hospital."

"Oh no!" Waving my hands mid-air, I laughed. "I'm really fine. It just happens that I have a sturdy body. But make sure you'll be careful next time."

"Y-Yeah. I will. Sorry again, miss."

"No worries," I replied then I pointed my finger to the direction I was about to take before the incident happened. "Then I'll go now, sir." As I'm ready to go, I felt a strong grip around my wrist.
