#33 "Ah! Love You More"

  After Duke Jeonghan, Knight Seungcheol and Prince Joshua found out that their missing horse, who turned back to its human form, is me, they have sent multiple gifts to my house. Until now, I couldn't believe that they have accepted the truth that easy even if it sounds so unrealistic.

Duke Jeonghan sent 10 huge boxes of carrots. Knight Seungcheol sent wood shavings, wood pellets, wood chips and sawdust, which are used in making horse bedding. Meanwhile, Prince Joshua sent a letter telling that he gave me a wide grass field near the palace so I could run around as much as I want.

I don't know if I'll feel grateful or not with these gifts. When I was horse, it was true that I did enjoy eating carrots, resting in soft layered bedding and running around the grass field. But my situation right now is far from before! DO THEY STILL SEE ME AS THEIR HORSE?!

One day, Knight Seungcheol went to my house for a short visit. We sat awkwardly beside each other without saying anything. When I tilted my head on his side, I caught his intent stare, as if observing my face will persuade him that I'm not just a part of his dream.

Finally, he opened his lips. "Are you really... (Y/n)? Our horse?"

His rounded eyes, knitted brows and straight red lips; all showed seriousness on it. And so I nodded my head and answered, "Yes."

"Then does it mean that when you were a horse, you understand everything like a human?" he inquired undertone and I just nodded my head. Suddenly, knight Seungcheol covered his face. His ears were all red as he groaned, "Arghhhhh~"

Is there a moment when he should feel embarrass for?

There is.

Knight Seungcheol was known as the fearless warrior who ruthlessly killed our country's enemies. Everyone feared him except Duke Jeonghan, Prince Joshua and me. Why? Because Seungcheol actually likes to act cute.

"So where is my baby? Where is my baby patootie? Did you miss me?" pouting, he said these cheesy words using a childish tone. I witnessed a lot of this scene when I was a horse. And maybe... that made him embarrassed.

The next day, Duke Jeonghan brought me to a tailor shop and bought me lot of dress. Just like Knight Seungcheol, Duke Jeonghan was staring at me while were in the closed carriage. But unlike the shy and serious knight, duke Jeonghan suddenly burst out of laughing.

"Goodness gracious!" he chuckled, holding his intense belly. "Who would have thought that my horse was actually a gorgeous lady?"

I also asked the same thing the first day I became one.

"Can I ask something?" he uttered while wiping his tears.

"Yes duke?" I responded.

"Did you ever fall in love with a male horse?"

Okay. This guy is really annoying.

I just laughed his joke off and pretended I didn't hear it well enough since the road was quite bumpy.

Duke Jeonghan was known as the coldest duke of our country. But during my days as horse, I've witnessed how annoying he was, and how he dated tons of girls in secret. But though he's a jerk, he treated me very well as his dearest pet.

"Anyway, did you like your new dresses?" he asked while smirking.

I very knew why he suddenly thought of buying these dresses for me.

"Don't worry duke," I said. "Your secret (as a playboy) will remain secret."

"Awww, come here (Y/n)~" he said with widely opened arms. "Let me shower you with hugs~"

Last but not the least, Prince Joshua asked for my company so we could walk around the grass field.

Back then, when Prince Joshua felt down, he brought me out and strolled together. But today, Prince Joshua is walking with me side by side while holding my hand. I didn't feel a thing when he was riding my back but why do I feel nervous when we're holding hands? His huge, warm and soft hand in my palm feels very foreign.

I slowly stared at his face and at his smile.

"Walking with you like this brought back lot of good memories," he murmured then met my gaze.

Prince Joshua lost his mother when he was young. Since then, he rarely smiles or shows much expression. But in front of me, his former horse, Joshua acts very gentle and bright which is far from his public image.

"Prince Joshua always brought me here every morning to get some fresh air," I shared.

The two of us both stopped our pace, maybe because we remembered something that will probably embarrassing to recall.

It was that time, one morning when Joshua rode me together with some palace guards.

While he was riding me, someone farted and it smelled like a rotten tomato. His three guards began suspecting each other saying: "Are you the one who just farted?" Since it's improper to fart in front of the royalty.

But Prince Joshua butted in like, "It's okay. Whoever it is, I'll forgive him"

The three royal guards shoved their heads at the ground while praising: "Thank you for your kindness, Prince Joshua."

If only I could talk that time, I still won't confess the truth. Because I knew that it was Prince Joshua who farted, not his three guards. I did feel it... the vibration between my back and his butt.

Being a horse was hard. However, I do believe that turning back as a human after becoming a horse is harder.

"(Y/n)!"

"Yes, father?!"

"You have visitors!"

Grunted, I walked down to the stairs. I wonder who visited me today among the three. Well, it doesn't matter because each of them tired me out.

"Good morn..." my lips shut when I saw them all present. And guess what, they were squabbling in front of the entrance.

"(Y/n) should come with me since I was the first one who arrived here," Knight Seungcheol said.

"Who cares? (Y/n) promised that she'll drink a tea with me," Jeonghan defended.

"Then, I will use my power as the kingdom's prince to have her alone today," Prince Joshua announced which made the two shouted...

"THAT'S UNFAIR!"

Dear God. Why am I experiencing this all over again? I've done my duty as their horse so why?! Can't they just leave me alone so I could fulfill my wish to date a proper guy and experience romance?!

"(Y/n)! Choose one!" in the end, they threw the big responsibility to me.

Of course, I can't choose according of who has the biggest carrot like before. But okay, let's do this.

"I'll go with knight Seungcheol because he came here first," I said.

Knight Seungcheol smiled at me, punching his fist on air. "Yes!" While the two glared at him.

God did fulfill my wish. I just didn't realize that the romance I'm seeking for will start with the duke, the knight and the prince who will all fall in love with me more... as a woman.
