"Pass the salt please Ley" Jacob asked me as I gave it to him. Ley was my nick name. It sounds like Lee.

"So, how was school today? Must have been a good day since it's Friday and school is almost over" my mom told me.

"It was grrreat" I said grabbing more salad and putting it on my plate. "So how was where ever you went?" I asked Jacob.

"College was good" he smiled as I returned it.

He turned to my mom.

"So I have decided that we should let him stay here. I mean for the whole summer or longer"

What were they even talking about.?

"Oh yea where did you say he came from.?"

"Well here was born here but he moved to Australia. But the college he wants to go will be here in mine and he needs somewhere to go"

"When is he coming?"

"Next week"

"Wait. What are you guys talking about?"

"Leyah we'll talk about this later" my mom grabbed my hand.

"Um" I said looking down at her hand. "Okay?" I said looking at her weird and continuing on with eating my salad.

"Next week you say?" My mom said excitedly.

"Yea"

"Well, James is having his 4 year old birthday party. Oh I can't wait for the family to meet him. What's his name again?"

"Cameron. Cameron Dallas"

Mm. Cameron Dallas. I said looking down in my thoughts.

"Weird name"

"Be nice to him Ley. Please"

"I don't even know the kid"

"You're the kid here" Jacob hissed at me.

I glared at him.

"Mom, I will try to be nice but if he pushes my buttons, you will no longer see me in this house"

"I never really see you so why brother" my mom joked. God I hate her jokes. They can go a little too far.

"That's true" Jacob laughed.

"Fuck you all" I said immediately regretting it.

"Hey!" My mom screamed. "Those words"

"Sorry Mother" I said looking down.

"Haha dumbass"

"Hey you to" my mom said looking at Jacob.

I smirked at Jacob as he looked down at his plate. Regretting to say that.

We can be scared of my mom. But we love her. And if anybody try's to mess with her. That person will likely end up in a hospital.

I broke the silence. "So how old is he?"

"20. And a half"

"And where will he be staying?"

"In the guest room?" Jacob said slowly furrowing his eyebrows.

"Ahh so the whole 3rd floor to him self"

"Yep"

"Well I'm done eating. I'm going to bed. Thanks for the dinner mom"

"Okay, but tomorrow we have a lot to talk about. First thing in the morning"

"Yea, yeaaaa" I said walking upstairs to my room.

-----
I woke up to my alarm of my iPhone. Ugh, 10:33.

I got up and did my morning routine. "Time to go see if my mom is awake" i told myself heading out.

As I walked downstairs, I saw my mom watching tv in the living room. Sitting in the couch.

"Morning mom" I said walking to the kitchen making myself some cereal.

"Come sit down. I want to talk to you while your eating"

"Okay" I simply said walking over to her sitting down when I was finished making myself cereal. "So. What's the talk"

"It's about this exchange student. Your father has been telling me when you visit him you have a special relationship with his friends. Is that true?" My mom asked worriedly.

"Yea. As friends" I bit my lip feeling nervous.

"No Leyah Like 'Relationships'. Leyuh I will not let you visit your dad when you're over here not acting your age.

I can't tell my mom about this. She will probably tell the whole world.

"Mom. They are just friends, nothing else"

"Okay. Now the exchange student. Jacob haas told me a lot about him. Cameron is a very polite; nice gentleman. Don't think that just because he's going to stay here you can let him 'make himself at home'. I just wanted to tell you"

I looked at her weird.

"Mom if you don't trust him with me then why are you letting him into our house?"

"Leyuh, it's not that I don't trust him. I just want to let you know that once you or anyone else steps inside this house we treat it with respect. Don't treat it like a hotel. I don't want you to do unsafe things"

"Like sex" I blurted it out.

"Y-yes" she sighed looking down in embarrassment. I laughed a little inside.

"Hypocrite" I whispered.

"It's not that I'm being a hypocrite. I trust you. And him. But be careful. Make sure. I 'heard' but never seen it with my own eyes"

"I promise I will be careful. I'm an underaged minor and he is an adult. I pretty sure he is not that stupid" I laughed and so did she.

"I just really care about you and I just never want my little baby to grow up" she smiled

"Mom" I laughed. "Let's talk about something else"

"Oh and we need to go bye a present for your little cousin"

"Mom that's next week"

"Yea but I just want to get things done"

"Mhm" I said getting up from the couch.

"Oh I forgot to tell you. Later were going to a barbecue with your Auntie. We're leaving at 5"

"Well I'm already ready. But okay" I smiled. Looking out window. Beautiful day but later it's gonna get sad. I'm not close with my family.

------
"Mom it's almost 6 you said we were leaving at five" I told my mom as she fixed her outfit and hair.

"Ya, Ya, let's go"

"I don't even want to go to this stupid thing" I whispered looking down. I know my mom will get mad. She always does.

"Oh you're going" she said with a serious look walking outside with me following.

We got in the car and drove to my Aunties house.
