*Cameron's Pov*
"Hey, I was wondering if I can borrow your phone now" I begged one of the workers who really needed to be fired.
"No Cameron you're sick. You're slowly turning crazy and you need to go back to the counseling office"
"But I gave you the stuff and you promised me you would give me your phone!" I gritted my teeth.
"Who's this Leyuh girl who is never texting you back? Why would you go through all the trouble just to text her even though she'll never reply"
"Please Man, I did your work I need the phone!"
"It's good that you're an Grade A student in math but under all those eye bags and all the acne, you're a cute guy- no homo but you don't deserve someone who won't at least text you 'hi'. She just reads them"
"She loves me I know that. We're still together but she's busy with school work"
"Here" he gave me his phone. "If she doesn't text you back you won't be using my phone anymore. If they catch you with a phone you're dead and then I'm dead" he whispered.
"Thank you man. I really appreciate it"
"Just make it quick"
"Okay" I put the phone in the pocket of my hoodie walking back to my room.
I went to the messages sending her one last text because deep down I knew she wasn't going to text me back and that everything that I'm thinking right now about us is probably never going to happen again.
Hey leyah. It's me cameron. I know I just texted you yesterday but I can't live without hearing your voice I think I might die if you don't come and visit. I feel so lost without you and honestly princess I'm broken. Broken that you never texted me back when I needed you the most. Whenever I asked for one thing you never committed to it. You never committed to our relationship. If we even have one. Please text me back Leyuh I really need something from you.
Love, Cam:)
-Leyuh's pov-
"Angie I really need help with something" I spoke through the phone as she sat down on the couch.
I was in her house just visiting dad, layla, and her.
"Sure what's on your mind?"
"Cameron hasn't stopped texting me for the last 9 months and I'm ready to visit him" I said all at once.
"Why are you telling me this now about the text messages?"
"Well it didn't seem important back then but-"
"I haven't talked to my son over the past 9 months and you think all those text messages that he has sent you wasn't important?!" She asked starting to tear up as I just sat there feeling like shit.
"I'm sorry" was all I could say.
"Sorry? I tried to contact with my son and he wouldn't want to talk to me. He wanted to be alone but now I realize he just wanted you and only you. And you're just having the time of your life with your new boyfriend while a depressed boy is desperately trying to talk to you and you don't even respond with 'hi'?"
"Angie I have to go" I stood up grabbing my bag.
"You know Leyuh you need to stop running away from your problems and start to realize that this is reality and this is your life!" She stopped me as I grabbed the handle from the door.
"You don't that I'm hurting to?! You think I'm a shitty person for not responding to the guy who made me cry every night but still made my day just by being there. You don't think I'm missing the happy moments I had with Cameron? I miss that Angie! I miss us! I miss the old Cameron. Not the one who would lie everyday and would never ever stay loyal and was just fucked up to me. I know I'm being a selfish brat right now but this is reality yeah but I need to move on and be happy with someone else" I shut the door as I walked through the neighborhood to my house.
