"Hey" my mom said hugging everyone. I put on my head phones . Listening to music because obviously my cousins would give me dirty looks.

Me and my mom walked through the gate and entered the back yard. Everyone was here. I guess we came late.

I waved and smiled at my family as they continued talking pretending I wasn't there.

My smile faded and walked inside sitting on the couch. Alone as everyone was having a great time. Man I wish someone would be here by my side.

My cousins came walking into the living room. Huddling to form a circle in front of me. I lowered my head phones so I can her their conversation.

I'm nosy oh well.

"So let's go to the park. I told Josh I would meet him there. He's bringing his friends over so you guys won't be so lonely" My cousin Samantha said whispering.

"I don't think they will will notice we're gone" My other cousin Destiny said.

They all turned once I coughed.

"Oh hey Leyah" My cousin Samantha said.

I smiled. "Hey"

"Did you hear what we said?" My cousin Rebecca asked.

"Kinda. I won't say anything"

"Good" they all said.

"Can I come?" I asked smiling.

"No. You're too young. This is for grown ups" They all hissed.

"But you guy's are the same age as me. And I'm really bored"

"This isn't the first time we've said no. I think by now you should know that you don't belong in our conversations. And other things" Kaitlin said glaring at me.

"Well, I just turned 15 so I'm practically like you guys"

"No. You're not grown"

"But Rebecca isn't grown. She's 14"

"Close enough"

I quite arguing with them. I just couldn't stand their dumbassness.

"Fine"

They all laughed at walked away out the front door. I didn't want to tell because my family are judgement all.

If I tell on their parents. My aunts and cousins will tease me by saying how I'm a snitch.

I stayed there sitting on the couch listening to my own music as I heard people laughing and their Mexican music blasting around.

They are probably getting drunk.

I was so bored that I eventually fell asleep.

----
"Stop" I heard whining. I woke up to my family talking inside. I looked out the window and saw it was night time.

I looked to my right where the whining was and it was Samantha trying to get off of a family friend named christian. Christian is 18 and here is something weird.

Christian is a player to everybody. He is sometimes a player with me but with Samantha, it's different. They touch each other in curtain places and one time I caught them kissing.

They were doing a full on make out session with each other in a room. I'm not sure if they were drunk and not thinking right but they almost had sex. If my family found out about Chris and Sam's relationship everyone would flip out. Christian is a no good but he remains as family.

This family is crazy and mysterious. I swear we need to have our own show like the Kardashians.

"Great you're up. Let's go" my mom said. I looked at the time 10:47. Oh god. "Alright by everyone" my mom called out to everyone.

"Bye guys" I smiled walking with my mom to the kitchen where my aunt who planned the party was.

"I'm leaving I'll see you later"

"Wait let me give you food" My aunt walked to where the food was in bowls and ayes. Foil wrapped around it.

"Bye" my mom said kissing her cheek and grabbing the food.

"Bye. Oh hey Leyah I didn't see you hi" she smiled and so did I. "Oh my gosh you lost a lot of weight"

My smile fades. The one thing they would bring me down in The past. My weight. "Yea, is there something wrong?" I asked harsh.

I would always talk really mean to them because it would make me look weak. It made me look stronger and happy.

They call me a bitch but either way they will call me names.

"No, nothing is wrong, it's just you were so fat. I mean the tamales would be gone in like seconds because of you" she chuckled.

I looked at her up and down. "This is why no one likes you"

Her smile faded.

"Leyah" my mom but in.

"Let's just go" I rolled my eyes leaving the kitchen and the house.

As I walked to the car it was locked.

"Dam it" I whispered.

"Hey, we are having a big discussion about this in the car" my mom said walking over.

Ugh lecture time.
