-Jakes pov-

I picked up the box of flowers and for Leyuh since it was our 8 month anniversary.

"Thank you" I said while walking out of the store.

I thought about making my delicious spaghetti and meatballs for dinner later.

I just hope tonight goes by really good because I wanted to give Leyuh a promise ring.

I called leyuh as I got into the car putting my seat belt on.

"Hey babe" she spoke through the phone.

"Hey so about tonight how about you meet up at my place?" I smiled.

"Actually I will be busy for the rest of the day. I'm going to visit a friend who I haven't seen in a long time"

"But today is a very special day"

"It's just a regular Sunday" she chuckled through the phone.

My smile faded and there was an awkward pause that didn't last very long.

"Hello? You still there?"

"Y-yeah. I have to go, i'm about to drive and I have to make dinner"

"I'm sorry. Well what are you going to make?"

"Spaghetti and meatballs"

"Oh my what the special occasion"

"You know just today felt very special but I guess it's just a regular day" I chuckled and so did she.

"What?- hey I got to go my dad is asking me these questions before I leave. Love you"

"Love you to bye be safe" I hung up.

I turned to my left to see an old lady walking through the parking lot.

I took my seat belt off and walked with the box of chocolates and flowers.

"Excuse me mam, I just wanted you to have these beautiful flowers for a beautiful lady"

She laughed. "Oh, sweetheart give these to your girlfriend. Do you have one?"

"Yeah but she forgot our anniversary and she's ditching me for something else"

"Well if I was your girlfriend I would never ditch you for anything"

"Okay?" I chuckled awkwardly.

"Well thank you you're too kind. That girlfriend does not know how bad of a girlfriend she is"

I laughed. "Well thank you" I walked away getting back in my car driving off thinking what was so important that made her forget?

-Leyah-

I quickly got out of the car walking slowly.

Mostly because I couldn't really feel my legs due to the fact of driving for 4 hours from where I live.

I sighed as I opened the front door seeing a lady at the front desk.

"Hello, I came to see-"

"I'm sorry no visiting hours until 12:00"

"But's already 11:47" I showed her the time on my phone.

"Does that say 12:00?" She asked pointing the pen at my phone.
