"Mom, you just stood there. Not saying anything. She was talking about my weight" I defended. My mom was pissed that I 'talked badly' about her.
"The weight that you lost"
"Yea, in the past and I don't think the past should be remembered or annoyed. Mom can you at least be on my side. Just for once at least"
"I'm not on anyone's side. You need to understand that you can't talk like that to your own aunt"
"Why don't you tell her that to. We are all family right?"
She stayed quiet.
"Right?"
"Sweetheart I mean this in the nicest possible way... You aren't like family to them"
I looked at her confused. How can a mother ever say that?
"But we will always still be family, no matter what" she said as she was getting out.
I immediately got out and walked into the garage my mom had opened with the remote in the car, and walked upstairs.
"Leyah" my mom said following me. "Leyah!" She screamed louder.
"Please mom I don't want to talk" I closed my bedroom door walking over to my bed. I was so angry and hurt that I felt a tear down my face.
I got my earbuds, plugged them in my phone and heard music. I wish someone was here to console me. Hug me tight and tell me I'm going to be okay.
I was too tired and done to even think about love. My family have taught me that no one will ever love me.
Unless it's forced.
I fell asleep listening to my favorite music.
**5 Days Later**
"Leyah, clean the guest room, Cameron is coming in 5 hours"
"He can clean it himself" I said jumping and sitting on the couch texting Angelina.
She stopped washing the dishes and walked over to me, taking my phone away.
"Wha- mom!" I whined.
"I'll give it to you when you're done cleaning the room"
I smacked my teeth kicking the floor walking over to the cleaning supplies.
"I need music so I can clean right" I held out my hand.
"Only music" she said giving it back.
"And texting" I joked smirking.
"Hey!" My mom said.
"I'm joking" I said as I walked over to the third floor.
Why should I clean this large room if it's already clean?
I'll just change the sheets and broom the floor.
As I started taking off the bed sheets so many thoughts and questions came into my mind like:
Is he cute?
Is he nice?
I wonder if I can get at that.
Mm. I sighed now walking over to the laundry room and started washing them.
Time to broom shit.

"Done" I said finally looking at the clean room.
Turns out, I had to wipe the windows dust, add towels and other things in the bathroom.
