I got to the pool which was located in the last acre of our land where we could have more privacy and greeted the boys. I had met all of them before, Ed, Mason, Max and Alex but never Jamie. The boys were used to me being around all the time and I had gotten use to being around boys by now. But I caught Jamie looking at me, Adam was deep in conversation with me and didn't seem to notice his stare.
I smiled at him before relaxing into a sunlounger. I drifted into a light sleep, the last thing I heard being the boys spalshing in the pool. I was unaware of how long I had been asleep before I felt water dripping onto my bare legs, I opened my eyes and shaded them from the sun looking up at Luca.
"Luca stop standing over me like that your dripping water all over my dress!"
"Sorry sis, you coming in?"
The sun was hot on my skin so I nodded and stood up. I kicked off my sandals and pulled the dress over my head then waded into the water. It was heated but still cool against my warm skin.
I noticed Jamie's gaze on me again but averted my eyes from his and continued messing around with Luca. He was weird, he was new to the group of boys but I couldnt understand how he came to meet them when he seemed to shy. I frowned to myself.
"Zara you want a drink?" I heard adam shout. He was stood at the far end of the pool under the shelter where we had chairs one side and a poolside bar the other.
"Usual!" I shouted back as he started walking back towards me. I heaved myself out the pool as he chucked an ice tea bottle at me. I opened it and drank before setting back down in my lounger and relaxing. I watched the boys in the pool and then closed my eyes but not falling asleep.
I felt a presence next to me and opened my eyes to find myself staring into Jamies. He smiled down at me but he was close to me and I didn't like it. I pulled myself up into a sitting position.
"You not going in?" I asked Jamie.
"No. I'm not a fan of swimming, I prefer to just relax in the sun."
"nice." I didn't know what to say to him. There was a pause for a few minutes.
"Your beautiful." I blinked at him in disbelief. Did he really just say that?
"Excuse me?! you only just met me!" I exclaimed, trying to keep my voice quiet so I didn't alert my brothers.
"Am I not allowed to compliment a beautiful girl like you?"
I blushed. "um, thanks." He smiled back at me, I had to admit he was very attractive but I could never feel comfortable around a man other than my brothers and their friends that I already knew and it wasn't long before Luca noticed us together.
