Once Jamie and I had got over the realisation of my pregnancy I booked a doctors appointment.
We went to it together and Jamie squeezed my hand tightly as I broke down in tears when the doctor revealed I was pregnant. Jamie soothed me and reassured me just like I had always wanted from the beginning.
We left the doctor surgery and went home, we decided not to tell my family just yet until the three month mark. We got home and went straight to my room.
"Zara. I think we need to talk about this."
"I know, babe." I replied as I scrambled onto my bed, pulling the duvet around me.
"Well, what do you want to do. Whatever you want to do just know that I will support you in that decision."
"I cant go through the ordeal of an abortion. I understand if you want to leave but Jamie, I have to keep this baby. This is my baby, my son or daughter. Infact our son or daughter. There is life growing inside me."
"Then I support you one hundred percent Zara. I will be by your side every step of the way. But what about college?"
"Well, iv already thought about this. Ill continue attending until I start to show but then leave and start work at my fathers studio at the office. I have 2 years worth of photography qualifications and I can continue learning up until my maternity leave."
"That sound good. Im in full time work with good pay. I will be here for you no matter what and thats a promise okay Zara?" Jamie replied to me and I nodded. I knew he would be there for me.
We lay down in my bed together, talking about life as a family. Suggesting silly baby names and laughing with each other. Jamie was going to make a great dad.
Jamie leaned forward and lifted my top up, revealing my still flat stomach. He tilted his head down and kissed my belly, then raised his head again and looked at me, a smile spread across his face and I smiled back. If we had a son, he was going to grow up to be very attractive like his father.
Jamie then rested his hand on my stomach.
"Weather this life in here is a beautiful baby girl like her mother or a handsome baby boy like his father, he or she going to be one very lucky child to have a loving mother like you" Jamie said to me in such a sweet voice. This caused me to smile again.
"You know, I love the name Penelope for a girl." He muttered sometime later "Penelope Zara Evans."
"And I" I started "Love the name Mason Jamie Evans for a boy."
"I think that settles that" Jamie said smiling. Then gently rubbed my stomach. "Penelope or Mason, I cant wait to meet you." He said and smiled to himself before looking up at me and kissing me.
I was a very happy girl and I couldnt wait to meet the miracle growing inside of me or start a family with one handsome, amazing man.
