Reassurance.

chapter fifteen.

"Please!"  I scream, I can feel the wet tears falling. "Dont!" "Dont touch me." I scream and cry until im woken by a banging noise as my bedroom door swings open, light from the hallway spills in revealing Adams face. He runs into my room and over to my bed as I pull myself up into a sitting position.

"Hey Zee, Its okay." Adam whispers and cradles me. I wipe my palm down my cheeks to dry my tears but they continue to fall, dripping onto Adam too. I hug him tighter to me, the warm feeling of my brothers embrace making me feel safe.

"Sorry for waking you." I say after a while.

"Hey, Zee, Dont worry it's fine, you cant help it. Im here to look after you and now everything is okay." He smiles down at me. Me. His sister who cant leave her past behind her.

"I'll stay with you till you fall asleep." Adam says and gently releases me so I fall back onto my mattress. He pulls the covers over me and tucks me in then sits at the end of my bed, watching over me.

I wake the next morning and rub my eyes. Im tired after last nights nightmare. I look at my alarm clock which reads 9:00 o'clock and I close my eyes again.

I wake again at 10:04 feeling much better. I get up and jump into the shower, washing away my nightmare. When I feel clean again I walk back into my bedroom and perch on the end of my bed, I drop my towel and slather strawberry smelling cream onto my body before pulling on some pink skinny jeans with a white strappy tee and black cardi. I sit down at my dressing table and put on some makeup then run down to the kitchen.

Theres a note on the side from my brothers.

'Zara,

Adam's on the day shift and will be home at 6pm. I'm out with Alex and Jamie.

Do whatever you want but text us if you leave the house.

I pull my iphone from my pocket and ring jess' number.

"Heeeey!" She sings into the phone after three rings.

"Hey. Adam and Luca are out, fancy westfields?"

"Of course I do, silly question" she giggles.

"True." I giggle. "Okay, Im leaving in five so ill see you in about fifteen minutes, bye"

"See you then, Bye."

I leg it back up to the stairs and grab my favourite bag, throwing my purse into it. I put on my white VANS and run back downstairs again, grabbing my keys from the hanger by the door. I lock the front door and jump into my BMW series 1 convertible and start the engine, driving though our iron gates, making sure they close then I drive down the road towards Jess' house.

When I reach Jess' lovely mansion shes already waiting by the gates, I pull up outiside and let her in and she jumps in and pulls on her seatbelt.

"Hey gorgeous, How have things been?"

"Good acually thanks. You?"

"Good, I guess. Ben's going to Uni so mum and dad are upset and im trying to hide it but I really am going to miss him."

Ben is Jess' older brother, instead of going to a top London university, he was accepted to Falmouth university in Cornwall, 5 hours away from us.

"He'll be back dont worry Jess, plus you can facetime each other"

She giggles, "Yeah I guess so. So, anything intersting happening with you?"

"Is there ever anythin interesting? I live with my two brothers who insist on having their mates over 24/7"

"Uh yeah their HOT mates!" She looks at me in shock. "Come on Zee, you cant seriously tell me you dont find Jamie attractive."

"Actually, I think i do." I blush

"I knew it! So, what are you not telling me."

"Well, It sounds stupid, iv only known him for about five days but, I think im falling for him. We've been, getting to know each other recently."

"Ohhh, Za-ra!" Jess sings. I slap her lightly on the arm then turn the music up in the car as we drive off the Westfields shopping centre.
