"Are you okay my girl?" Jamie asked me, peering his head around the corner of the bathroom door. I had just finished throwing up again due to more morning sickness. "We need to leave in a minute, okay?"

I nodded. "Yeah, just coming." I grabbed onto the side of the toilet and pulled myself up then leant forward to flush the chain. I splashed some water onto my face and cleaned my teeth.

"Im reaedy." I said to Jamie and followed him out to the car. I had a visible bump now and I loved it. Today me and Jamie were going to our 18 week scan. We drove to the doctor surgery talking about weather we would have a girl or a boy.

We got to the doctor surgery and waitied in the waiting room, our hands locked together.

"Miss Hepburn" The nurse called my name.

I stood up and walked through the waiting room with Jamie following close behind me. When we were inside I lifted myself onto the bed and pulled my top up.

"Right, this gel will be cold." The nurse told me as she squeezed the gel onto my stomach and rubbed the ultrasound tool over the top. There was a faint thudding sound as the picture of our baby appeared on the screen. I dropped my hand down and grabbed Jamies and he lifted it to his lips, kissing it softly.

"You hear that?" The nurse asked us. "That, is your babys heart beat." I smiled and looked at the screen.

"And this here." The nurse continued, raising her finger to the screen. "Is your babys head, and this is the body. I cant notice any problems, your baby is in the right position and everything looks fine so would you like to know the sex of the baby?"

I looked at Jamie. "I dont mind, do you?" I asked him.

"I think its a good idea, then we can decorate a nursery in appropriate colours." He smiled.

"Good thinking." I turned back to the nurse. "Okay, we would like to know the sex please."

"Okay, well if you look closely here" She pointed to the screen once again. "This shows that you are expecting a girl. Congratulations"

I smiled. Wow, I was having a girl, a daughter.

"I can tell you one thing for sure, shes going to be a very beautiful daughter looking liker her mother." Jamie said. I smiled at him while the nurse cleared the gel from my body and printed a set of ultrasound images for us. I tucked them into my bag and thanked the nurse.

Jamie and I got home and showed Luca and Adam our scan pictures, then I snapped a picture on my phone and emailed it to my parents. I couldnt beleive we were having a girl. Penelope was the name we had settled on. Penelope Zara-Lynn Evans. And I couldnt wait to meet her.

I texted a pitcute to Jess, Danie and Emma too. They sent back their congratulations and I snuggled with Jamie in the lounge.

"So, we're having a girl hey?" He said, kissing me on the forehead.

"Yeah, I cant wait to meet her."

"Me and you both gorgeous." He leant forward to kiss me on the lips. His tongue was beggin for entrance and I let it, deepening the kiss. Being pregnant meant my hormones were raging! Jamie scooped me up bridal style and carried me up to my bedroom...
