** TWO MONTHS LATER **
Since Jamie and I had found out we were expecting a child together, I had continued to be sick every morning. The morning sickness drained me and made it an effort to go to college. I had just reached my three month mark but was waiting until Jamie got back from work tonight to tell Luca and Adam. I was extremely scared.
Bur right now, I had to forget about that and face going to college and telling the girls first. I was about to tell my best friends that I was pregnant and leaving college to go to work, I had no idea how they would react. I think they guessedsomething was wrong because I had been acting differently ever since the first day I got ill, three months back now. Throughout the past month I had been trying to be as normal as possible but it was proving to me hard.
I got to college and was greeted by Jess first.
"Hey babe. You okay today?" She asked me, just as Dani and Emma joined us.
"Yeah, all good thanks."
We talked for a bit until it was time to go to lesson. I had Spanish first, then Child care (A useful subject to take) Then it was lunch until I had my last two lessons, Photography and sociology.
I manage to endure my lessons. The end of the day neared and I had agreed to meet the girls outside to tell them. I was getting panicky. When it came to the last lesson at 4pm, I walked slowly, wasting time but I soon spotted the girls waiting for me by my car.
"Hi girls." I said. "Er, you might wanna sit down for this." I said to them and motioned with my hand for them to follow me to a nearby bench. They sat down and I stood opposite them.
"Whats wrong?" Emma asked.
"This is actually kinda hard for me to tell you. Please, dont judge me but today was my last day attending Priors field college. The truth is that me and Jamie are expecting a baby. Im three months pregnant."
Shock flashed across all three of their faces and I stared at them, waiting for one of them to shout at me or stand up and slap me.
"Youre pregnant?!" Jess asked me, I couldnt tell if she was shocked or excited. I nodded my head.
"Youre pregnant?" Dani repeated, it was clear that she was shocked.
I didnt blame Dani and Emma, Jess was more likely to understand as she had been my best friend since we were 4 years old.
"I know, its silly really. We were stupid and we're both only young but I cant deal with going through an abortion."
"I understand Zee." Jess said. "But what are you gunna do about college? Youre not going to have qualifications without college."
"Actually, iv thought about that and planned ahead. Im leaving at this point in time because I dont want the college sniggering about me. I have a job secured at my fathers studio in the office, because of his reputation and everyone knows our family, I got it easy. Jamie has good pay too"
"Well, personally, I think you two are going to be just fine." Jess smiled and embraced me into a hug, soon after Dani and Emma joined.
"Congratulations" Dani said.
"Yeah, congrats." Emma said.
"Thankyou. Anyway, I need to get home and get some rest before I tell Luca and Adam. Love you girls."
I said bye to them and got into my car to drive home, trying as best I could to prepare myself for my brothers reactions.
