"Sorry about last night." Jamie finally says.
"What about last night?" I ask.
"I didnt mean to fall asleep next to you, in your bed."
"Oh, right. Its okay, I kind of liked having you there." I say
"Really? Well, I liked being there." he smiles. "And also im sorry for catching you out like that this morning." He says and looks down at his hands.
I realise what hes talking about.
"Oh no, Its er- its fine. I dont mind." I babble back at him, the blush rising on my cheeks.
"Anyway, I wondered if maybe you wanted to er- go to dinner sometime?" Jamie asks me.
Jamie just asked me on a date.
"If you want to, I dont want to push you into it I just wanted to continue to get to know you." He continues.
"I would love to Jamie. How about Monday evening?"
"Sure, great I look forward to it. I will pick you up at seven?"
"Yeah, thats great thanks." I reply. IM GOING ON A DATE WITH JAMIE EVANS! The voice inside my head screams.
"I'll see you then." He replies then gets up and pulls off his t-shirt revealing his gorgeous abs. YUM. And he dives elegantly into the pool, droplets of water splashing onto me. Theyre refreshing under the heat of the sun. I drift into a sleep as the boys continue messing around, the music blaring.
* JAMIES POV *
Just do it Jamie. Ask her. The voice inside my head tells me. Im so deperate to invite her out to dinner but im worried she'll say no. Shes so, reserved and hidden. I cant work her out and its driving me crazy. Come on Jamie Evans, Man up.
I sit next to Zara and finally start speaking. I apologise for falling asleep in her bed last night and then decide that I will infact, ask her on a date.
"Anyway, I wondered if maybe you wanted to er- go to dinner sometime?" I ask her, pleading with myself in my head.
She doesnt answer straight away and I start to panic. Oh god, what were you thinking?! The voice inside my head mentally beats me up about it.
"If you want to, I dont want to push you into it I just wanted to continue to get to know you."
"I would love to Jamie. How about Monday evening?" Zara replies. She replied, AND SHE SAID YES!
We arrange times and I smile to myself.
