"Jamie, stand up." Luca said, I detected the uneasy tone in his voice, he hated people being around me other than peole he felt me being comfortable with.
"Okay, we were only talking, no need to worry." Jamie said.
"Just please, dont sit so close to my sister."
"Er, okay. Sorry?" Jamie looked confused and I felt sorry for him. The other boys knew my story but were always so careful around me, I felt bad that Jamie was being kept out of the loop but there was no way Luca or Adam would reveal a secret like mine to somebody they had just met.
I smiled at him weakly before turning to Luca.
"Luca its fine. I'm going inside now anyway I feel burnt. Im gunna invite Jess over."
With that I stood up and crossed the acre, making my way into the house. I went through the french patio doors and walked barefoot across the marble floor, dangling my shoes in one hand and my dress in the other. I reached the end of the corridor and turned the corner making my way up the stairs. I flopped onto my bed and called Jess.
"Hey gorgeous! how you been?" I couldn't help but smile at how happy Jess always sounded. She was such a good friend to me too.
"Hey Jess I'm good thanks. Just wondering if you wanna stay tonight. Adams working the late shift and Luca has the boys over."
"I'll be there in an hour!" she squeaked into the phone and then i heard the familiar sound that indicated she had hung up. I put my dress into the laundry basket and slipped out of my bikini then jumped into the warm shower. It felt so good washing away the chlorine from the pool. When I was finished I dried off and put on a pair of bed shorts with a long sleeved plain top. I dried my hair and let it cascade down my back in blonde waves.
