Reassurance.

chapter thirty one.

After breakfast with my parents we sat down to watch a movie together as Jamie had gone to join Luca at the office. It was nice spending time with my parents.

Jess also came round for a bit and we went out to the pool. It was only a few weeks into my summer holidays and I hadnt made much of it. We were in the pool for hours cooling down from the heat rays of the sun. Then we sunbathed for hours longer, music playing around us quietly.

My phone beeped to a text message from Jamie. I hadnt even realised he had my number, or the fact I had his. He must have added it into my phone and got mine from Luca or Adam.

The text read:

'Zara,

Hope youre enjoying your day with Jess. Miss you already.

Jamie xo'

Ahh, I thought to myself, how sweet. It made a smile spread across my face.

"Jamie?" Jess asked me.

"Of course." I replied.

"So, whats actually happening with you too. Iv been kepped out the loop too long mrs!" She waggled a finger at me mockingly.

"I cant actually tell you that. I have no idea. I mean, we admitted our feelings and we feel the same but I dont know if we're a couple or not. I dont think so. But we have each other, and thats nice to know." I smiled happily at my best friend sitting before me. "Plus, I dont have nightmares when he sleeps with me."

"YOU SLEPT WITH HIM?!" jess shouts. I whisper for her to be quiet.

"Not like that Jess, as in when he lays beside me and cuddlees me all night I can sleep without waking up to a nightmare."

"Oh, good, good. You almost gave me a heart attack girl!" She started giggling. Then her phone started beeping at her, which meant there was a facetime coming through.

"OH MY GOD! Its Ben!" She did a small happy dance while still sitting in her sun lounger and answered it, stretching her arms infront of her so the camera was pointing on her face and she could see her brothers face on the phone screen.

"Hey bro!" She smiled and waved at  the camera.

"Hey sis" Ben replied through the phone.

"How have you been, hows Uni?"

"Good thanks. Uni is amazing. Well, the parties are anyway." He giggled. "But the lectures, not so much."

"Good, im glad youre enjoying it."

"I am thanks, I miss you guys though! I'll be back next weekend, still getting settled in here but you wanna make plans?"

"Yeah sure, how about a movie or something?"

"Sounds good sis. Text me whats out at the moment. Listen I gotta go, Talk to you soon. Love you!"

"Love you!." Jess called into the phone then put it back into her bag again.

"Pool?" She asked me.

"Why not?" I giggled.

Before I could get into the pool my phone buzzed again.

'Can you be ready at 7:30 tonight please?

Im taking you on that date, beautiful.

I smiled and replied before diving into the pool

'Of course, see you later :)
