"Woah, this place is huge," Roman commented, stepping off of the plan with the other groups.

"Eh, we were told how big it was going to be," Remus replied. "It is on an island after all. In the middle of a lake. Hidden by, well, they didn't exactly tell us but I'm guessing it's mountains since I can see them in the distance."

"Yeah but it's still impressive. It's like there's a mini town here!"

"I mean it pretty much is." Remus looked around the place. "This would be the airport, then there's the school building, the dorms, the mall we were told about, and I think they said something about a park?"

"Okay you are the English group," one of the teachers said, walking to them. "Welcome to the Super Academy, before we get started I am Dr. Sanders. I've talked to some of you before, so some of you remember me. At this school, many students and teachers speak different languages so we have this little device here called a translator to help understand each other better." He held out a small device that looked like an ear piece. "It's not perfect, of course, but it helps. I'll hand these out and then we can head to the auditorium."

"That's the guy that talked to mom earlier, right?" Remus asked Roman.

"I think so?" Roman replied, uncertain.

"I don't know, I can't remember faces."

"And you think I can?"

Dr. Sanders handed out all the translators and Roman and Remus took a look at them.

"These translators will be your best friends," Dr. Sanders told them. "Try not to lose or break them, but if you do you can talk to me, technology is my thing. Remember, refrain from using your powers on campus, especially against other people and their property. Alright, let's go."

Roman readjusted the strap on his bag around his shoulder and followed Dr. Sanders to the school building.

It was a long walk, but luckily the building wasn't too far from the airport. It took a little less than twenty minutes to walk there as they tried to take in the area.

Luckily the auditorium was near the school door, since Roman really didn't want to walk to the other side of the school. It was huge, four stories high with a basement, and the length of two football fields.

The auditorium was big too, filled with students, both new and old. The teachers led them to the area new students were sitting at, there were kids of all ages there but most were pretty young.

The students took their seats and the teachers all stood by, keeping an eye on the students to make sure they stay out of trouble, as teachers do.

It didn't take long for someone to walk on stage. Pretty soon, everyone was quiet and giving her their attention. A presentation was displayed on a board behind her.

"Welcome to another year at the Super Academy, I'm the headmaster of this school, Mrs. Johannes, and it is my honor to welcome you. We are gathered here today to introduce any newcomers to the school and remind everyone of the campus rules."

Remus could barely stay awake as he listened to everything, the rules were what you'd expect them to be. Don't use your powers against anyone or anything, don't leave the island, don't contact anyone off the island without permission, don't go here, don't do that, all boring stuff.

"Using your powers against anyone is prohibited, unless supervised by a teacher and it's a fair fight on any of the training grounds. The training grounds include a portion of the woods, the false town, the marshes, and more terrain."

Remus looked up as images of the training grounds went on the screen. The false town was an empty town, filled with mannequins and empty streets.

"Everyone will have a chance to practice their powers in Power Training, a class taught by many teachers here. Mrs. Croft, Mr. Sleep, and several others will be teaching that class this year. Now onto power points, they're your weekly allowance for behaving and keeping your room clean. It's easy to get those points, really, but if for some reason you don't have enough power points for any necessities then just come talk to me or any other school counselor. Everyone starts off with 200 power points during their first year. You're welcome to spend them at the mall on campus, which is filled with many stores from around the world to help you feel a little bit more at home."

When she started talking about different sights on the island, Remus became bored and dazed off again. He can just use a map or ask Roman if he wants to go anywhere.

"And that concludes the opening assembly," Mrs. Johannes finished. "Classes will start up Monday, so spend the next week exploring the island or preparing for the school year. New students will be given tours by some more experienced students by alphabetical order."

"Ugh this is just like our last school," Remus groaned as the headmaster listed off who will go with who.

"Yeah, cause our last school had a training ground with all kinds of terrain," Roman whispered back, actually paying attention to who would be their guide.

"Patton Smith will be the guide for students with last names starting from a-f," the headmaster called out, gesturing to a student behind her who waved at the crowd.

"That's our guide," Roman told Remus.

"Good to know. I wonder what his power is," Remus mused.

Patton looked pretty kind, he had a giant smile and was bouncing on his heels. He had a messy mop of curly brown hair and a gray cardigan was tied around his shoulders. He looked like a kid dad.

"Well, ask him after the assembly."

"Okay, there's not that many new kids this school year," Patton hummed to himself, looking at the small list in his hands.

"You're Patton, right?" Roman asked, walking up to him.

"Yep! And you two are...?"

"My name's Roman, and this is my brother Remus." Roman gestured to him.

Patton crossed the names off of his list. "It's nice to meet you, looks like you guys are the oldest in this group. What are your powers?"

"I can create ice, my brother is stuck with a super lame power," Remus said, putting an arm around Roman's shoulder.

Roman elbowed him back. "I can create fire, it's not lame."

"What's your power?"

"Oh! I'm kinda like a shapeshifter," Patton answered, "except I can only shapeshift into existing animals. I can mix it up though! Like bird wings on my bag and wolf claws!" To demonstrate, his finger nails sharpened. "It really helps with Halloween costumes."

"That's so cool! Now I'm jealous!"

"Oh don't be, your power is really cool too! You two are like opposites! That's so cool! You could team up together or something!"

"Team up with my brother? Yuck, he'd just slow me down," Remus joked.

"Oh shut up. Ignore him, we've always been a team," Roman told Patton.

"I have a feeling you're both going to like it here. Well, I need to start the tour, so let's go!"
