"You guys are in so much trouble," Patton's mother scolded. "And I am so disappointed in you, Patton."
"I know," Patton pouted, nursing a bruise on his arm. Luckily, he and Logan only got minor scrapes and bruises.
"You should have told us about this place, we're better equipped to handle this. Your friends got hurt!"
"We're fine," Roman said from where he was lying down. Currently they were on a plane back to the academy, the other villains were on their way to a prison for supers.
"You are not fine, you were shot! And Virgil, you were electrocuted!"
"I lived, didn't even pass out," Virgil told her, leaning against his mother as his burns were disinfected and wrapped by Patton's dad.
"I still can't believe you did this," Patton's dad said. "I mean, you guys did an impressive job since they used to be unstoppable-"
"Paul!" Patton's mother growled.
"But that's probably because they were rusty but even if they weren't what you did was extremely irresponsible and stupid."
"We're sorry," Logan, Virgil, and Patton all said at once.
"I'm not," Janus said. "I'm just sorry I didn't get to fight anyone."
"I'm not sorry either!" Remus giggled.
"Just wait, once we get back to the academy Dr. Sanders and Mrs. Croft are going to tear you a new one!" Patton's mother warned before turning to Patton, "And you sir are grounded."
"That's fair," Patton sighed.
"Sorry Patton," Virgil told him.
"It's not your fault, I chose to come and didn't try to stop you."
"We all chose to come with you, we knew what we were getting ourselves into," Logan agreed.
"Well because of this huge mess, winter break started early," Paul explained. "All the kids are being sent home, except for the ones that stay all year long."
"I wonder where I'm going to go now that I have my mom back," Virgil mumbled, almost to himself.
"We can figure that out later," Sophia told him. "By the way, I love you a lot Virgil but you're also grounded for not just telling the heroes where I was. You could have died!"
"Glad to see you're a sensible mother," Patton's mother said.
"Of course, even though I'm proud of him I'm still upset. I will admit though, these two did a really good job at fighting." Sophia gestured to Patton and Logan.
"Thank you," Patton replied.
"We were only doing what we could," Logan added.
The plane started to lower itself and Patton's mother said, "Tell that to your mother. She's going to ground you for life if she doesn't kill you."
Logan just sighed as he nodded.
Once the plane came to a stop, Thomas and Mrs. Croft both ran into the plane. Mrs. Croft wrapped Logan into a hug and Thomas did the same with Virgil.
"Oh thank goodness you're okay," Mrs. Croft sighed. She pulled back and held Logan's face in her hands. "You are in so much trouble, do you know how worried I was?! You could have died, this is so irresponsible of you. And don't get me started on you, Virgil, I know you wanted to save your mother but you should have left it to the heroes!"
"I'm sorry," Virgil mumbled, looking away. He was only sorry about worrying them, though.
"You are never leaving my sight ever again," Thomas told Virgil.
