The weeks had passed by in a blur, and in no time it was homecoming. Despite saying he wasn't going to dress up, Virgil decided to wear his plaid skirt and a white shirt. He wore leggings, so his prosthetics weren't seen, and a black jacket.

He had helped Roman with his makeup before Roman left to put on his dress, saying he'll catch up with them. Virgil didn't know if he regrets not asking Roman to go to homecoming with him or not.

He stayed by the snack table, a cup of punch in his hands as he watched the other students dance. Homecoming wasn't even a very romantic dance, so he shouldn't be too hung up about this.

Still, watching Logan and Patton spin around together, and Remus and Janus holding hands on the dance floor, Virgil couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. He shouldn't have come.

"Hey, what are you doing sulking over here?" Roman came up to him.

Virgil almost choked on his drink when he saw him. He hadn't smudged the sparkly glitter makeup at all, and had put in some earrings. He wore red lipstick and a small white jacket over a long red dress with a gold ribbon tied around his waist.

"O-oh wow, you look really good," Virgil told him.

"Do you think I overdid it?"

"A bit, but extra is your style."

Roman smiled. "Yeah, that's true, thank you."

"So, why aren't you dancing?"

"Well, there's no one to dance with."

"I mean, you can always dance by yourself."

"Yeah, but it's more fun to dance with someone. Dancing alone is sad, and boring. What about you, just staying in the corner?"

"Yeah, I thought it would be fun to come but... I don't have anyone to dance with either."

"Well, would you like to dance alone together?" Roman offered Virgil his hand.

Virgil's eyes widened and he laughed a bit. He set his cup down and took Roman's hand. "I would love to."

Roman smiled wide and he led Virgil to the dance floor as the last song ended. The lights became dimmer and the next song was a bit slow.

"Well, we're already here," Roman said with a laugh.

He put his hand on Virgil's waist and Virgil did the same for him, holding Roman's hand with his other.

"This is so ridiculous," Virgil laughed.

"Yeah, but that's what makes it fun."

"I'm just going to warn you, I have two left feet when it comes to dancing. Or, fake feet really."

"I'll be careful, just follow my lead."

"You're the boss."

Roman smiled at the familiar line. "That I am." He spun Virgil around before pulling him back.

"Logan, look," Patton whispered to his dance partner, nodding over to Roman and Virgil.

Logan looked over and smiled. "I wonder who asked."

"I told you they're in love. Just look at their faces."

"I think they're the only ones that don't know, Patton."

"I'm so happy we met Roman and Remus. They make Virgil and Janus so happy."

"I think it's all thanks to you. You make everyone's lives brighter."

"Aw, that's so sweet. By the way, did you ever find out whatever Janus and Remus were planning?"

"No and it's driving me crazy! Everything seems perfectly normal!"
