Chapter 3: Back at School

Cameron drove us 20 minutes north to the Harlingwood Outlet Mall. The place was huge and would take at least a weekend to get through the whole thing. Luckily, I had Mason and Sarah to tell me what brands were hot and where to find them. Or first stop was Forever21. I've never heard of the store but apperently they sell all the hottest clothes. I walked straight over to the clearence rack and found a low cut, skin tight white t-shirt and a pair of dark wash jeans. All the outfit needed was a colourful belt and some sneakers. It was simple but I still reallly liked it. Plus the prices werent too high. I grabbed both and slung it over my arm going to find the others.

When I found them, all 3 had arms full of clothes. I saw a really cute pair of jeans on Sarah's arm and went to check the price. When I picked up the tag I nearly screamed. They were 40$! Talk aboutan expensive store. She assured me that I would fall in love with them when I put them on and not care about the price afterwards. Then they dragged me to the back of the store to the dressing rooms and demended a fashion show of anything that I thought looked good together. The first things I put on were the jeans and shirt that I found at the front of the store. I walked out and gave a little twirl, showing off the back of me.

"Simple yet sexy," Mason commented. I shot him a flat look through the mirror as I admired myself.

"I like it, where did you find it?" Sarah piped up.

"At the front on the clearence rack. I swear I could make 4 of these outfits up there and together they would be equal to the price of that pair of jeans you picked up," I commented.

"Oh get over the price. You'll look amazing in anything and your mom said not to hold back," Cameron said from where he was sitting. I turned to face him.

"Thank you for the compliment, but it still doesnt mean that I can go and spend that much on one pair of jeans. Anwyays, all this outfit needs is a fancy belt and I'm set for tomorrow. And I can find that on the clearence rack too."

"I'm not going to argue with you, I saw one that would look great with that and it was on sale," Sarah said getting up from her chair. "I'll go grab it and you get changed."

I retreated back into the change room to put on something else to show them. I decided to put on the jeans that must have been sent from heaven to cost so much money and Sarah was right, I fell in love as soon as I pulled them on. On top, I had on a green spaghetti strap and covered it with a black open front sweater that covered only my shoulders and arms. I would definitely wear this in the first week. According to Mason, it really accentuated my curves.

We spent about another 20 minutes in that store, me just trying on clothes. Mason and Sarah each found themselves a first day outfit as well. We went up to he cash and paid for our items. The guy that we went to spent the entire time checking out Sarah. Cameron, Mason and I just laughed at her ignorance. When I told her about it afterwards, she looked at me disgustedly. We all laughed again walking into the next clothing store where I was able to buy clothes fo pretty much the rest of the year. It was a pretty cheap yet quality store and had almost all the same brands as the other store.

After spending about 2 hours in that one store, we went into the Converse store to buy new shoes. I got a pair of grey, white and black plaid hightops and some bright yellow ones. Mason settled on plain black ones and blue hightops. Sarah bought pink and white ones, and Cameron go 2 pairs of hightops, green ones and white ones. We exited that store rather quickly and continued shopping for another 3 hours, buying more and more clothes and shoes. We then headed into a school specific store and bought most of my supplies aside from textbooks and a bag, which i later found in Bentley.

Soon, Cameron started complaining that he was hungry and I admitted that my stomach was asking for food as well. By this time it was nearly 6pm. We headed to the food court where we saw a McDonalds. I got my usual Cesar salad and a drink, Mason got a cheeseburger combo, Sarah joined me with a Tuscan Chicken salad and Cameron pigged out on a Big Mac combo. When we were done, Sarah and I made a quick trip to Tim Hortons to get coffee. We were so much alike that even after years of not seeing each other, we could still pretty much order for each other. We exited the store and headed abck out to Cameron's car. We drie back home and made it there at about 6:30.
