The peircing blue eyes kept their gaze on me and didnt turn away until Sarah looked in that direction.
"That's Logan," she answered. "He's been around since the year you left and from what I've seen, he hangs out with all the bad asses."
From what I could see, he didn't look like one to be a bad ass. He had brown hair that was shagged to the left. His skin tone was close to that of me, but a little darker. He was wearing a navy blue t-shirt and a pair of darkwash jeans. I could see the bottom of a tattoo on his upper arm, peeking out of his sleeve. It was a medium brown color and had a vine like thing winding around the thick brown line. It looked as f it were a mark or symbol of some kind.
"He may be bad ass, but he's hot all the same," Mason commented quietly to me.
"Couldn't agree more," I admitted.
That's the thing about having a gay best friend. You can talk about boys without it being awkward. The second bell sounded as we walked to the back to take our seats. Unfortunately, I was forced down the table to sit beside Logan., as they took the end seats on my other side. Why? Because I'm apparently more his type than any of us. Why I chose these people to be my friends, I'll never know. I felt eyes on me again and looked beside me to catch Logan looking at me. It wasn't in a creepy kind of way, more like a checking me out kind of way, which is exactly what he was doing. When his eyes trailed up my body back to my eyes, I put on the friendliest smile I could muster. He just smirked at me and turned his attention away. I looked to Mason and Sarah for help and the gestured for me to talk to him.
I turned back around in my chair and saw that he had turned his back in my direction and was now talking to the guy I knew as Hunter on his other side. Sarah has had a huge crush on him since freshman year and never stopped talking about him. He was pretty bad ass from what I've heard, so I haven't really paid him my mind. I shrugged and my friends shot me disapproving looks. I was about to explain myself when Mr. Lancaster came in and stood at the front of the class, ready to start his lesson. He was among the 3 teachers I'd been told about mostly because of how much Sarah complained about him over the years. She had him all through high school so far and was clearly unimpressed by that. Now, you would expect a science teacher to walk in wearing a long white lab coat, but instead, he wore a white dress shirt and beige pants. He had a red bow tie around his neck and black suspenders. He was literally the modern definition of the word 'nerd'. I felt kind of sorry for the guy. He had light brown hair with visible grey hairs showing just how old he is.
Luckily for me, there were no confrontations with Logan aside from the fact that he kept looking oddly at me all period. Whenever I looked over, he would turn his gaze away quickly as not to get caught. But then seconds after I looked away, his eyes would be right back on the side of my head, his mouth pulled up into a small smile. I sort of found it creepy now considering he wasn't even listening to what Mr. Lancaster was talking about. And what was even weirder was that although he was completely concentrated on my hair the entire period, he understood everything when it came to working independantly.
Soon after receiving our homework, the bell rang and I followed Mason to our next class since I had it with him. We walked to the class laughing about stories from the past years. We got to the door, I realized that this class had individual desks in rows. I looked to the back where we ususally sat and saw that Logan and his friends were already there. I literally felt my jaw hit the floor in surprise. How the hell did they get here before us when we left the science room before them? I suggested that we sit on the other side of the room and thankfully Mason obliged and we took the nearest open seats. They were pretty much in the dead center of the room which was better than taking the seats beside Logan. I watched as Megan and one of the other cheerleaders took thos seats and started flirting hopelessly with him and Hunter. At least he would be preoccupied through this class instead of just staring me down. But as I thought that, I felt his eyes just looking at the back of my head. Great. I spared a quick look back and saw his mouth twitch up into a smirk. He looked over at Megan who was pretty much leaning on him and I turned back to the front where the teacher was about to start the lesson.
