We all laughed and Jaxon demanded that we get ready to go because after he drops us off, he was going home with Amber. We all choked on laughs at the innuendo in what he just said and received glares in response. We put cash on the table to pay for our food and left a tip for our waitress. We all climbed into the car and since Amber took the front seat away and we now had 4 people to fit in the back, Sarah and I agreed that we would just sit on our boyfriends' laps for the short ride back to the log house. When we got in, we were bombarded by Gemma, Mackenzie, Emma, Max, and Cameron all begging to see our new tattoos. When Sarah and I lifted out shirts to show our lower back art, Cameron jokingly called us sluts. We all laughed and I went into the kitchen to help Emma clean up the supper dishes. Although I didn't have much else to do, she refused to let me help, telling me that I'd done too much in the past month, and sent me back out to the others.
"You ready to head to the cabin?" Sarah asked excitedly as I walked into the living room.
"Umm, sure," I answered cautiously. Hunter shot me a devilish smirk. "Although your tone, and your look is starting to scare me."
"Don't worry, you'll be fine," Hunter said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
"Logan!"
"Come on baby, it's ok. I'll take great care of you," he whispered suggestively in my ear.
I pushed out of his arms and ran back into the kitchen where Emma had finished the dishes and was now talking to Cameron's mom, probably about his new responsibility. I ran entered, quickly waved a hello to Cameron's mom and his behind her chair.
"Noah," Emma chuckled. "Everything alright?"
"Everything's fine," Logan answered. "I just want to take her somewhere special, mom."
It sounded like she was almost like he was warning her of something. But what confused me, was that she seemed excited about whatever he was talking about showing me. Emma pulled me to her.
She squealed in excitement as she started to lead me out of the room. Logan ran ahead as we took our time following him. We made it out to the back deck and stopped me, looking directly into my eyes. "I want you to promise me that you won't be scared," she said seriously. "My husband did this for me before he died and I was amazed. You'll probably have the same reaction I did, but you just have to try and get over the initial shock of..."
All of a sudden, a black wolf came walking out from behind the bushes. I screamed, but then recognized the electric blue eyes that looked at me with love. Instead of being scared, I became intrigued and facinated. I slowly stepped forward away from Emma's embrace. She gave me specific instructions on how to approach him. Apparently, he hasn't introduced his wolf to me yet, but as soon as he has my scent and Logan tells him that I'm his mate, I will be perfectly safe under both of their watchful eyes. As instructed, I cautiously inched towards the wolf in front of me. When I got close enough, I carefully extended my arm up to his nose. He moved his head and I jumped, causing my arm to jerk backwards. Emma calmly talked to me to make me relax. I tried again and Logan's wolf started to advance towards me. I took a deep breath and held it as I felt the warm air from his nostrils as he smelled my hands.
Suddenly, I felt his long snout being pushed into the palm of my hand. I opened my eyes and saw him nudging my hand as if he wanted me to pet him. I saw the plea in his eyes and sucked in another breath. I slowly moved my hand so I was cupping his face and he leaned into my touch. I let out the breath I was holding and Logan moved closer to me. I brought my other hand up to scratch the top of his head. He whimpered and I thought I'd hurt him, but then he nudges my hand again telling me to continue. I turned to look at Emma and she had a wide grin plastered on her face. I smiled back and scratched under Logan's chin and behind his ear. I caught sight of his tail wagging behind him which caused me to laugh. Emma came over and placed a hand on my shoulder.
