"Me? Why am I the crazy one?" I asked laughing.
"What? Have you not been listening to the stories you've told me?" he countered.
"Yeah, from when I was like 3!"
"Touché."
"That's what I thought. Besides in sure there's just as many weird and crazy stories from your past that you're too embarrassed to tell me."
"You're certainly right, and I'm never going to tell you."
I rolled my eyes and he laughed, kissing my temple lightly. That whole argument arose from me telling him that when I was younger I would take garbage bags and jump off the top of the monkey bars at the park holding the bag open above my head thinking tat maybe I could fly. Again I say, when I was younger. He laughed for 5 minutes straight and then proceeded to call me crazy. And so here we were now laughing about the whole situation, my head rested on his shoulder and his arm around me protectively, just looking out onto the birds eye view of the city. We decided that it had gotten pretty boring in the clearing and he brought me up a hill a little ways north. It lead us to where we were now and I loved it.
"Ok so I have to be serious about this," he chuckled.
"Yeah that's going to happen when you can't stop laughing," I said still giggling.
"Yeah well all I can see is you sitting on top of monkey bars with your hands in the air screaming 'I will fly!'."
I hit his arm playfully. "It was so not like that!"
"Mhmm, you're just too scared to admit it."
"Whatever. What is it that you have to be so serious about?"
"Oh right. So my mom is having a shitload of family over tonight and I was wondering if you would come with me."
"Like as a plus one or...?"
"Like my date."
My eyes widened. "It wouldn't happen to be the same party that Hunter invited Sarah to is it?"
"Actually yeah it is. We don't want to be the only adolescents there so mom said we could each bring someone along."
"But out of all of your friends, why me and Sarah?"
"Well I for one know that Hunter has a major crush on your friend so I assumed he would invite her."
I internally smirked. "So why did you invite me?"
"Uh...umm..." he stuttered. "Honestly?"
"As honest as you can be."
"You intrigue me. I want to get to know you more. And honest to god I feel attracted to you," he answered with a small smile on his face.
I smiled back at him and snuggled closer into his side. "I'd love to come. What time is it?"
"Well Hunt and I have to be there early to welcome everyone and mom said that she wants to meet you guys prior to the start of the party, so I think we'd have to come and get you at 4:30ish."
I shot up and looked at him in shock. "What time?"
"About 4:30. If you need more time..."
I felt my phone vibrate in my bra and recognized the ringtone to be that of Sarah. I silenced Logan with my finger telling him to wait a second. I pulled my phone out and answered the call.
I didn't get to say anything before she started talking. "Did they say what I think they said?" she asked frantically.
"Depends what he told you," I answered.
