As I opened my eyes the next morning, I expected the hospital lights to blind me like they had been for the last couple days. But instead when I owned my eyes, there was only a small trace of dull light to my left. My initial reaction was that the power was out, but when I reached beside me to grab my phone off the side table, there was nothing there. My eyes shot open and I alsmost fell of the couch. Wait, the couch? I looked around and immediately recognized the interior design of my living room. I slowly sat up as not to cause myself to get dizzy and looked beside me to where the dim light source was coming from. I saw that Dustin and my mom were bustling around the kitchen making what I assumed to be breakfast. I slowly stood up, my head hurting a bit in the process. Cleo told me yesterday that apparently when I fell, I hit the back of my head off the ground and also gained a minor concussion, which was one of the reasons they kept me so long at the hospital.

"Morning," I said when I reached the counter between where my mom was plating pancakes and Dustin was pouring juice.

"Oh, good morning honey," mom said. She gave me a slightly awkward side hug and went back to plating the pancakes.

Dustin, on the other hand, tuned me around to fully face him by my shoulders and hugged me tightly. I smiled into his chest and pulled away to look at him. "So how did I get here?" I asked.

"I went to go and pick you up early this morning because Cleo was getting sick and tired of you. Since you kept saying that you were still tired, you tjust fell asleep on the couch as we came in here to cook. Don't you remember that?" he explained as if it were obvious.

"I'm sorry if I was probably still high off the last doses of my painkillers."

"Yeah I know. Actually when I picked you up, you were still pretty out of it."

"See, so its not totally my fault."

"I guess not."

We continued to joke like that as we ate. They asked me a million questions about how it felt to spend much the school week in a hospital bed. I answered almost all of the questions by saying that if I didn't die from the plastic food, the complete boredom would do it. The food issue was also part of the reason that I had 3 servings of mom's homemade pancakes and sauce. Once I was done eating, I glanced at the time and saw that I only had 25 minutes before Cameron would be here to pick me up. I shoved the last piece of pancake in my mouth and ran upstairs to my room.

I quickly run and jumped into the shower. When I was done, my entire bathroom smelt of white roses and jasmine. I walked out in just my black lace underwear set from Victoria's Secret and headed straight over to my closet. I decided to wear a pair of tight fit booty shorts and a green off the shoulder crop top that matched the colour of my cast and showed off enough of my stomach to put my diamond belly ring on display. I figured that I was going to go to school on my first day back, I might as well match. Once I was dressed, I went back into my bathroom and applied some concealer alon with black eye liner and mascara for makeup, and just threw my hair up into a high ponytail. As I finished, I saw that now I was 5 minutes late.

I quickly slung my bag and my TNA purse over my shoulder, slipping my phone into the phone pocket. I rushed downstairs to the living room. I quickly pecked both Dustin and my mom on the cheek. She shot up and ran into the kitchen to get something and came out seconds later with a cup of water and a couple Advil for my head. I swallowed them both and walked over to the front door to pull on my shoes. I decided to wear my black high heeled ankle boots with my outfit just to add that last little piece of attitude. Mom made me promise her that if I felt at any time of the day that I couldn't handle any form of pain that I would text her and come home. I gave her my word and slipped out of the door.
