I slowly sat up from Logan's chest, careful not to wake him. He needed the rest today, they all did. They were being sent away to a wolf camp with kids that would essentially become part of our pack. He left in about an hour and a half and I didn't want to disturb the rest that he needed. As I slipped out of bed, he stirred slightly, but I just ran my hand softly through his hair and he relaxed again. I quietly moved around the room to grab the stuff I planned to wear and went downstairs as not to wake Hunter either. I had my shower in the basement bathroom and when I came back up, Logan was standing at the island, fully dressed, eating a bowl of cereal.
I scowled. "What are you doing up already?" I asked.
"I got cold after you left," he answered.
"Go back to bed."
"Why, dont you want me around?"
"Of course I do baby." I walked over to where he was standing and pecked his lips lightly, tasting the cinnamon from his Cheerios. "But you have a long journey ahead of you and you need the rest."
"I'm not tired though."
"I don't care. As soon as your finished eating you're at least going to lay down on the couch. I'm not letting you do anything until you have to leave."
"You sound like my mother," he winked. He brought his bowl over to the sink and turned the water on.
I took the bowl out of his hand and started washing it before he had the chance. "You go and lay down, I'm serious."
"Will you join me then?"
"When I'm done here, yes. Go make yourself a little bed with the throw pillows and the blanket. I washed it yesterday."
"Fine." He kissed my cheek. "I love you."
"I love you too," I smiled.
Usually, I'd be scared to say that because of what happened last time. But surprisingly, it seemed to just roll of my tounge now. Then again, dating for a month and a half does that to you. I finished washing his bowl and grabbed out the griddle from the top cupboard. I decided that I would make everyone French toast and scrambled eggs for breakfast. I made the French toast on the griddle and scrambled the eggs in a frying pan. There was no way that I was letting these guys go so far on a low nutrient breakfast like they usually have. I plated the food and put it in the middle of the island. I made a small plate for Logan and walked out to him.
"Here, eat up," I said sitting down with him.
"But I had breakfast already," he argued.
"Cereal?"
"Right. I'm eating, mother dear." He winked at me as he put a piece of egg in his mouth. He groaned in pleasure and I secretly smirked. I knew he loved scrambled eggs, and I threw in the French toast as a bonus.
Sarah went home last night after the pack dinner, and all the guys stayed over to avoid the morning commute. They would be gone for a week and Emma and Tony were going with them as well. While Hunter, Max, Jaxon, Andrew, Scott, Evan, Mackenzie and Courtney were running down as wolves, Emma and Logan were driving down in a large van that would hold the kids, while Tony took a semi large car that would hold all the baggage. I was upset that he was going, but he promised to call me every night with updates and if he was on patrol of the camp as a wolf we would mindlink. Another pack had gone and picked their kids already and since it was our turn, we also had to make sure nothing happened. I sat down with Logan a couple nights ago and organized a travel plan and the shifts for patrol. We did have to make sure that Emma, Courtney and Mackenzie weren't on patrol since they volunteered to take care of the kids. After the week was up, we would be getting 5 kids coming to live with us at the pack house.
