"I want you all to finish the questions in the text book by Monday!" my math teacher shouted as the bell rang.
I groaned and Logan laughed as he put his arm around my waist. He finished the questions already, but I had been preoccupied with texting Mackenzie what to feed to kids at home. Being the alpha female is a lot more work than I thought it would be, especially with kids now in the mix. On top of the 12 math questions I still had to finish tonight, I also had an English essay due Monday that Logan had already finished as well. I walked grudgingly to my locker, pulled out my laptop and the rough draft of my essay, and followed Logan out to the car. He drove us home, drawing circles on the back of my hand and occasionally making small conversation. He was so sweet to me, and he just got off his crutches yesterday, so it was back to the way it used to be, with him driving instead of me.
As soon as we reached the front door to my house and I was about to unlock it, he grabbed my hand and turned me around to face him.
"Are you ok?" he asked looking directly into my eyes.
"Yeah, I'm just tired and I have to start working on all this junk that we got today," I answered truthfully.
I unlocked the door and opened it for us to walk in. He shut it behind him as he followed me in.
"Just remember that you have all weekend to do it. Don't stress yourself out now."
"But I was hoping to spend the weekend with you."
"Oh were you?"
"Mhmm. By the way, I think there's a party at Megan Miller's house on Saturday and she wants us to show."
"Is it that Halloween party that everyone is talking about?"
"Yeah. Couples are encouraged to dress up together. So I'll make that your job as I do my homework. Find something hot for us to go as."
"Sounds good. How risqué am I allowed to go?"
I gave him a quick kiss on this lips and leaned into his ear. "As risqué as you want, baby," I whispered suggestively.
I started walking up the stairs to my bedroom and threw a wink over my shoulder at him. He groaned and followed me upstairs to my room. I pulled out my laptop and English essay and started typing it out while he pulled out his own laptop and went on google to search costumes for us to wear on Saturday. We sat in silence for about an hour and a half, both of us doing our own thing. At about 4:30, I saw Logan close the top of his computer and walk over to the bed. He sat down beside me and wrapped his arm around my waist. I finished typing out the last half of a paragraph that I had left and submitted it to the online classroom that our English class had. He then closed my laptop as well and moved so he was hovering over me. He just looked down at me.
"Can I help you?" I asked, trying hard not to smile at his gaze on me.
"Yes, actually," he said with a matter-of-fact tone.
"How?"
"Kiss me."
I pecked him on the lips quickly and slid out from under him so I could retrieve my math from my bag. I sat down beside him on the bed and noticed that he hadn't moved. He sighed dramatically and I looked down to my text book as though I hadn't just been looking at him. He took my text book and papers off of my lap and put them on the bedside table. He crawled on top of me again.
"No, no. I mean really kiss me," he purred.
"I have to do homework," I pouted teasingly.
"Screw homework."
