12. Wedding eve

At ******* Restaurant:

The scent of lavender was all over the place and it was well-furnished. Making her way inside she spots Taehyung at one of the corner tables with his mask. Shaking her head she walks towards him and sits opposite to him. "Hey Tae", she calls her Bestie in a soft voice, the male turns his head to the voice and waves his hand. Even though his face was covered with a mask, she could see the boxy grin behind it.

"You're here sooner than I thought", He responds gleefully, "I was hungry", she replies with a pout. "Of course, you're here for the food" he scoffs looking away, "Aigoo is someone jelly?" She asks in a playful tone, "No I'm not", He says and turns his head away sassily which makes Yeona break into giggles. Hearing her giggles Taehyung turns back to her and smiles behind the mask.

"Can you take off your mask now, we're gonna eat" She says and the male nods his head takes off his mask then stuffs it inside his jacket. Picking up the Menu he passes it to Yeona who gladly accepts it and orders their favorites. "How was the shoot today?" She starts the conversation, "Same old routine, exhausting but I really enjoyed it" He responds shrugging his shoulders.

"Of course you did", she says before looking around, Tae stares at her who was busy looking around the interior as she was feeling comfy, "Can I ask you something?" he asks,  leaning on the table, "Shoot", She says while giving her full attention to him, she picks her water glass and drinks some water from it only to choke on it after hearing Taehyung's question.

"Do you have feelings for me?" He asks with a mischievous glint in his eyes, She chokes on the water while Taehyung panics and rushes to her then rubs her back. After calming down she elbows him to which he clutches his stomach and goes back to his seat
Tae: "What was that for?"
Yeona: "For asking such a ridiculous question"

Taehyung chuckles while mumbling to himself
Tae: *mumbles* ridiculous huh?
Tae: "Just answer it honestly"
Yeona: "I don't know why you're asking this out of the blue, but Tae I never saw you as more than a friend and a brother, I don't have actual feelings for you like between a man and a woman but I love you as my bestie and my brother"

Taehyung let's out a airy chuckle trying to fight back his tears
Tae: "Good for you, cause I thought you would be heart broken after knowing that I don't see you the way you see me"
Yeona: "You've always been my bestie and always will be"
Tae: "I will kill you of you give that place to anyone else"

They both burst into laughter. Their food arrives and they both pick up their chopsticks to dig in. While Taehyung digs into his Jajangmyeon, something crosses Yeona's mind and she halts for a moment. Taehyung notices her
Tae: "what are you thinking about?"
Yeona: "Nothing"
She shruggs off the question and they both Continue with their dinner.

After the dinner and paying for it, they both make their way to parking lot. As they both were walking side by side Yeona suddenly stops walking making Taehyung to stop in his track and look at her with confusion.
Yeona: "I have to tell you something"
Noticing the seriousness in her tone Taehyung nods his head gesturing her to continue

Taking a huge breath and exhaling it she speaks
Yeona: "I'm getting married"
There were some silence untill Taehyung decided to break it
Tae: "Nice joke, almost fell for it"
Saying that he continues to walk but her words stops him
Yeona: "I'm not lying"

He turns back to look at her and sees her stern face
Tae: "Who's the groom?"
Yeona: *sighs* "Park Jimin"
Taehyung's eyes went wide at the mention of his name. But he knew something was up, he knew Yeona very well and she wouldn't marry anyone just like that especially when she doesn't even like the person
Tae: "What's wrong?"

Yeona looks at Tae in eyes and heaves another sigh while turning her gaze away from him. She tells him about what had happened and his gaze softens
Tae: "So you're doing this for Lilly?"
Yeona nods while thy start walking towards their cars
Tae: "If this didn't happen, you would have crush on me"
Yeona: "Keep on dreaming you're my bro forever"
