13. The Wedding

The next morning was incredibly soon. Mrs.Lee felt bad seeing her step daughter doing all of this for her biological daughter. It wasn't her fault but still she blamed herself for being in that situation. Never in her life did she ever felt hatred towards her Yeona. She might be a step daughter but Mrs.Lee never felt her like one.

When she came to know about Yeona and her mother from Mr.Lee, she felt bad at the same time she couldn't do anything after all she couldn't hold her feelings just like anyother one who falls in love. Mrs.Lee asked her husband numerous times to bring Yeona back atleast tell her to visit during her vacations but Mr.Lee Didn't listen to his wife.

She was a little dissapointed at first but later she was glad that Yeona was out of the mess they've been through. She never thought Mr.Lee would call her back at such situation, when Mr.Lee told his wife about his idea Mrs.Lee disagreed but Mr.Lee ultimately called Yeona, not because she would clear the problem, heck he didn't even know that his daughter was capable of it. He wanted his elder daughter to be with his younger daughter even if it's for few days before the Mafia guy would marry her.

Mrs.Lee thought Yeona would refuse to come but after hearing that Yeona agreed she was on cloud nine. She would finally meet her daughter for whom she's been waiting for years. And after what she did to Lilly Mrs.Lee felt indebted to Yeona, and now this wedding news made it more difficult for Mrs.Lee to stay away from her guilt. She was sad at the same time she knew everything happens for a reason so she was waiting for what's gonna happen next.

Wiping her tears Mrs.Lee made her way inside Yeona's room. Looking at the sleeping figure she sits beside her and strokes the younger's head to which the younger leans into making Mrs.Lee to smile but soon her smiles turns into frown and she bites her lips to halt from sobbing.
Mrs.Lee: "I'm sorry sweetie, I'm so sorry"
She mumbles as quietly as possible but the light sleeper wakes up after hearing some sobs beside her.

Fluttering her eyes open, Yeona rubs her hands on her eyes then looks around only to find her mother crying while covering her face with both of her hands. Yeona immediately sits straight and holds her mother's shoulders
Yeona: "What's wrong Eomma? Why are you crying? Did Jimin do anything else?"
The elder shakes her head and hugs the younger.

Mrs.Lee: "I'm so sorry for putting you through this, if it weren't for My daughter you wouldn't have been here"
Yeona: "Please don't apologise for something which I bought myself, and what do you mean your daughter? Am I a stranger now?"
Mrs.Lee: "No sweetie, thats not what I meant"
Yeona: "Then please don't apologise and be happy, please"

She says while parting away from hug and taking her mother's hands in hers.
Mrs.Lee: "Do you really want to do this?"
Yeona: *smiles* "I have to"
Mrs.Lee flashes a sad smile before stroking her daughter's hair and planting a kiss on her forehead.
Mrs.Lee: " I'll leave now, but you still have time to change your mind and run away, I won't mind sweetie neither will you Appa or Lilly"

Yeona just nods her head while Mrs.Lee leaves from there with a sigh. Looking at the time Yeona stands from her bed and does her routine.

Taking a bathe and walking towards her closet, Yeona heaves a sigh and shakes her head
Yeona: "I gotta be strong"
Saying that to herself she randomly picks a dress, elegant an classy. She didn't bother to buy a wedding dress as she didn't even wanted the wedding to happen in the first place.

Yeona reached to grab the dress but a knock interrupted her.
Mrs.Lee: "Sweetie it's me"
Saying a soft come in she turns back towards entrance when she sees her mother coming in while carrying a garment bag. Yeona looked at her mom confused untill she placed the bag on her bed.

Mrs.Lee: "Jimin sent this for you"
Rolling her eyes she curses under her breath
Yeona: "Ofcourse he did"
Saying that she heaves a sigh and moves towards the bag. Opening the bag she takes out a beautiful mermaid bridal dress. For a moment Yeona was lost of words looking at the dress it was so beautiful.
