When Harry walked past me later with a guitar and a smile, I obviously asked him why he was in such a good mood.

But he just quipped, "None of your business!"

And then he smiled even wider as he walked towards camp. Shaking my head in amusement, I watched him go. Usually Niall was always the one with a smile on his face. Not that Harry was pessimistic. He too sometimes acted like a little kid with nonsense on his mind, but I had never seen him beaming like he was now. With his smile, he could have been a rival for the sun.

But since he didn't want to tell me anything else about it, I decided not to ask him any more. Besides, I had other problems.

My outburst yesterday, when I had shouted at Roxanne. Looking back, I was sorry that I had judged her, but I was just so annoyed by her selfish behavior. Roxy always acted tough and indifferent, but yesterday it was Avery who had proved what courage was. Not Roxanne.

I would have loved to visit Avery, but every few hours there was an attendant there who wouldn't let anyone anywhere near the bunker.

So I spent the next day carrying on as normal and after my work, visited Liam in the infirmary.

He was already looking much better. Liam was not as pale as yesterday and gave me a smile when I came into the ward.

"Hey, are you feeling better?", I asked when I saw him lying on his hospital bed.

"Only if I don't laugh and move my upper body too much," he replied with a sad smile.

I sat down at the edge of the bed. Liam's dark brown eyes gave off so much warmth that I almost melted. How could you not fall in love with those eyes?

"When are you coming back?"

"Probably the day after tomorrow. I guess Hempton can't afford to leave anyone in the infirmary too long," he said cynically.

I sighed. Of course Liam was right. With a cracked rib, it was completely idiotic to return to work after only two days.

"I'll talk to Ed later today. Maybe he can convince Hempton not to give you heavy work," I promised him then.

"I don't think Hempton gives much of a damn about Ed's opinion, but thanks anyway."

Then he looked at me seriously.

"How's Avery?"

"We don't know. Harry tried to get to her yesterday, but they wouldn't let him. She'll probably be out tomorrow night."

Liam nodded. For a moment there was silence between us. We both thought of Avery. The poor thing was there in the bunker all alone with her thoughts and fears. I had never been in the bunker before, but I didn't wish it to anyone.

I quickly changed the subject.

"Liam, listen, if there's anything I can do for you, just...just let me know," I then told him.

God, that sounded kind of weird now! Kind of like Liam was an old man who couldn't even eat by himself without help.

"Thanks. I appreciate it," Liam smiled genuinely though.

I smiled as well.

"Honestly...there is something I could use some help with."

Liam looked embarrassed and looked to the side. I looked at him in expectation.

"This might sound stupid, but I need to take a shower, but I can't bend over and especially I can't wash my hair because it hurts so much every time I breathe in and out when I raise my arms above my head. I hate to ask, but could you maybe help me?"
