Now we have finally reached the end, which is why I would like to sweeten the finale for you with a small but modest guest appearance. And before I give too much away, I hope you enjoy the final chapter.

"Concrete Jungle where dreams are made of

There's nothing you can't do",came from the radio as I drove up the road in my car.

God, no matter how long the song had been around. I still loved to sing along with it when I was driving. I moved along as best I could behind the wheel and sang the next line.

"Now you're in New York

These streets will make you feel brand new

Big lights will inspire you

Hear it for New York, New York, New York".

I smiled, turned into the forest road and automatically turned the radio down. Radio reception was poor in the forest anyway.

As I drove over the bumpy forest floor, I took a few deep breaths. I had told myself that I wanted to come back here. And yet...even seven years could not erase the memories or completely conquer the pain.

The forest and the road were still the same. And I could also make out individual bunkers and groups of tents as I drove past. But the people there were different now. The place of torment and pain had a new purpose.

Harry had told me at the beginning that Camp Houens Odde had originally been a popular campsite for scouts. And that was exactly what it was now again. Scouts and youth groups from all over the world, as well as families, came to the peninsula in Denmark to spend their holidays. And now I was back here again. Not to reminisce, though, but on a charitable basis. I wanted to drop off material for the children to craft and build with at one of the scout tribes, as well as old tents that some people no longer needed.

I parked my car in a car park near a clearing. As I got out and looked around, memories overwhelmed me again for a moment. Not far from here we had had our campsite.

Pull yourself together, Avery! Remember your breathing exercises! I ordered myself inwardly and breathed in and out of the fresh forest air a few times.

Harry had asked me himself on the phone if I really wanted this. I had said yes. And when I started something, I finished it. The others had also been divided about my visit here, but had supported me nonetheless.

Things had changed since the court sentencing. Even after the trial, we hadn't talked to the media or told other outsiders about it, except for our therapists. It had taken time for things to get better for everyone, but eventually good times came for us again. Especially for the boys. While they continued their schooling and still performed as a garage band in market places and clubs, they were approached by a talent scout who then introduced them to a certain Simon Cowell.

To cut a long story short, the band One Direction became one of the most successful boy bands ever, touring all over the world. Even though Zayn left the band in 2015 to do something on his own. And three of those five boys were very lucky to have very understanding girlfriends who supported them in their decision, even if it meant not being able to see them in person for months. Speaking of girlfriends, Liam and Daisy have been together for seven years and married for two years. Recently they've already been talking about kids and I already know they're going to be great parents. Niall, on the other hand, had to wait another four months after the court case until Roxanne showed up on his doorstep and officially asked him out. And even though they had broken up once or twice in between, in the end they always got back together and promised each other to always be best friends despite everything. I don't know if they'll stay together forever, but I'm pretty sure there won't be anyone else like Niall for Roxanne.
