"Where do you live exactly?" I broke the silence, dahil masyado kaming tahimik dito sa kotse niya. His lips were in a grim line, kunot ang noo at parang ang lalim lalim ng iniisip. He did not respond to me, he just kept on doing his cold sighs.
Pinabayaan ko na. Nothing's gonna happen tonight, I swear that to myself. Kakausapin ko lang siya, then I'll have a nice and cozy place to sleep for the night. 'Yun lang.
Medyo natagalan pa ang biyahe. I am already feeling a bit sleepy. It's 2 am already, I'm tired. Wala pa akong pahinga. And yet I have to deal with this. Every part of me is tired, I wanted to sleep so bad, but I can't. Parang ang bastos naman ng dating kung tutulugan ko 'tong mokong na 'to diba. And he said, we need to talk so I have to stay awake. Nakakahiya naman.
"A-are we almost there?" I asked him again. Hindi na kasi ako nakatiis, parang ang layo layo na ng binabyahe namin. It's late, and he needs rest too. Alam kong pagod din siya. Utang na loob ko pa nga sa kaniya 'to, kung hindi lang sana niya nalaman na nasa ospital ako, he's probably taking a rest right now.
He just nodded not looking at me. Tumango na lang din ako ng dahan dahan at muling nanahimik. I want to play some music, but I guess he prefers to have a silent drive, maybe to focus on the road.
After a while, he parked at a street. Nag taka pa ako, is he leaving his car here? Sa daan pa mismo?
I was about to open the door, pero naunahan niya ako. He opened it for me, but he won't bother to look at me. Still cold. Dahan dahan ako bumaba, when he felt that I'm good, he closed the door. Then a man in a suit went to us, hinagis niya ang susi do'n.
"Just park it at the garage near the gates," he said. Tumango 'yung lalaki at siya na ang nag ayos sa sasakyan. Can't this man park by his self? Kailangan pa talaga ng body guard. Saka ko lang napansin na ang layo na pala niya sa 'kin, tumakbo ako so that I can catch up. He was walking towards the huge black gates, in front of it was a large garden, parang oval sa mga university ang laki. Or maybe naninibago lang ako. But then I saw the mansion in the middle, it looked magestic. With the dancing fountains, large infinity pools, golden lights and the beauty of the mansion itself.
I looked at the left side, not far, hindi pa gaano maaninag, but I can see more sports cars and luxury cars. Ang yaman yaman naman pala ng lalaking 'to. I wonder, what's his work. Mag apply kaya ako?
