I was surprised when I read it as I entered the lobby. Today's my last day in here. Andrea suggested for me to rest and prepare, but I want to be with them for one last time, before I leave. But I didn't expect that there's a farewell party prepared for me. They're all complete in here, all of my friends, specially Ariana. Our co-employees, the manager and of course, the CEO.
"Aww..." I grabbed my handkerchief in my pocket to wipe off my small tears. I'm so touched. I never thought that they would do this kind of effort, for me. I'm... overwhelmed.
"Hey!" Ariana ran to me and helped me wipe my tears off. I looked at her and I smiled. It's been a while since I last spent a day with her. She's so busy with her projects. Hindi rin nagtatagpo ang schedule namin. Whenever I'm free, she's not. And vice versa.
I hugged her suddenly, while she was wiping my tears. She hugged me back and tapped my back lightly to give comfort.
"I'll miss you..." I whispered.
"I'll miss you too! But this won't be the last right? You'll visit us? I can visit you there too if I have time," she whispered to me. I smiled and let go, still looking at her.
Slowly, I nodded. "Yes. We'll still see each other," I answered while smiling.
Hinatak na niya ako papunta ro'n sa malaki at mahabang lamesa kung nasaan nakalagay ang mga pagkain at ang napakalaking cake. They all greeted me, saying their farewell messages and that. Mr. Harts on the other hand, he's not interacting with us much. He's smiling but he's not joining us with the eating and the messaging stuff. Kaya ako na ang lumapit sa kaniya.
"Hello, Sir..." kinabahan pa ako. He smiled and raised his left hand, na may hawak na wine.
"Cheers," he said. Natauhan naman ako at nakipag cheers sa kaniya. Then I drank for a bit.
"T-thank you for giving me a chance to work here, at your company, Sir. It's truly an honor. I'm sorry I have to leave..." panimula ko. Nakakahiya. Nakapasok ako rito nang walang kahirap hirap, pero ganito lang ang ginawa ko. But... I have no choice. I still have to fix some stuff with my family.
