As soon as I arrived at the hospital, I went to the nurse to asked where she is, what room, lahat na. I have no idea what is happening, kinakabahan ako. I can't contact Andrea, hindi ko na rin masyado ginambala. It's late, she's probably sleeping at this hour.
I was a bit relieved when I knew that she's not in the ER or OR. She's in a regular room, resting. I saw her parents go inside, crying. When they saw me, they immediately went to me with angry faces, but I can sense pain and fear in their eyes.
Her mother took a step forward, looking at me straight in the eye.
"Is it true?" she asked.
"P-po?"
"Buntis ang anak ko?!"
I froze, hindi ko alam kung paano ko masasagot 'yon. I know that both of them are shocked, Eunice didn't want for her parents to know, that's why she always wear over sized clothes para hindi mahalata sa tyan. It's not that big yet, but it will soon. She's afraid of how her parents would react. Knowing that both of them, are so strict.
"T-tita.. I-"
"Answer me! Is my daughter pregnant?!" Tears rolled down her eyes. So as mine, I was so scared. I looked down and held my own hand. I slowly nodded, after that, I received a strong slap from her. I was so guilty, because I promised to take care of Eunice, I promised that I'll make ways on how she can avoid danger. I am the one who introduced Elijah to her, this is my fault. All of this.
"How could you? We trusted you with all our hearts! And this is what you're going to do behind our backs?!"
I closed my eyes. Walang ibang dapat sisihin dito, only me. So whatever the consequences, I need to face it. Hindi ko sila masisisi, anak nila si Eunice. Of course they'll be that protective, and Eunice have mental illnesses na hanggang ngayon hindi nada-diagnose. It is dangerous for her to be at that situation, I know.
