RESPECT YOURSELF, PEOPLE WILL RESPECT YOU.
Things were moving well, Alhamdulilah, Khalifah, and Abdul working, at least earning.
On Abba's side, he is still who he is, greedy, heartless, and the rest of them.

"Khadijah," Abba called.
"Yes, I am coming Abba," I answered.
"Where is Khalifa?" He asked.
"He's in the shop," I answered.
"Oh okay so he is still working there, I can't let my son work, he's too young for all the stress, I'll deal with it. Go and call Maimuna," He said referring to my mother.
"Umma, Abba is calling you," I said.
"Okay, please help me and fetch the water before I come back," Umma said and she left.
"Maimuna, I can't just sit here and watch you doing what you want, you are not the husband, I am the husband, whatever I say should be done. I just let you do what you want for some time, but now is the right time for me to take action. I'm sending Khalifa to boarding school," He said
"Subhanallah! What happens? what did Khalifa do to you, please? I know you hate me but please don't hate your children, please don't send him," She pleaded.
"Keep shut," Abba shouted.
"You lack respect, was that how Inna thought you, to talk to your husband anyhow? To talk back to him," He asked.
Umma just kept quiet.
"Now you either be on my line or else you'll regret it, and mind you I'm not changing my decision, it's final," Abba said and left Umma kneeling in tears.
I ran to her, "Umma please stop crying," I pleaded.
She managed to stand up and I helped her to her room.
"Why? Why is he doing this to us? Why?" She asks no one in particular.
"Umma, please just have some rest, take everything from your mind, Everything will be fine InshaAllah," I said trying to console her.
"I can't Khadijah, I can't," She replied as tears cascaded down her face.
"Umma at least try to, please. We don't want to lose you," I said.
I tried to console her and she managed to have some sleep.

I was sitting on a chair in the compound when Khalifa came back. I smiled at him and he did the same.
"Where is umma?" he asked.
"She's sleeping please don't wake her up, she needs some rest," I answered.
"What happened? Is she sick?" He asked again
I dragged him to sit on the mat.
"Khalifa, Abba hates us, he hates it when he sees us happy, I don't know what we have done to him, umma especially, I hate it when he shouts at her," I spoke hurtfully.
