HAPPINESS IS A JOURNEY, NOT A DESTINATION. EMBRACE EACH STEP WITH GRATITUDE AND JOY
As the days drag on, grief becomes a constant companion for the groom and the family. The once-vibrant household is now shrouded in heavy silence, broken only by whispered conversations and the occasional sob. Each room seems to hold a lingering echo of the bride's presence, a painful reminder of her absence.
Sleep becomes elusive, as nightmares of the bride's terrified face haunt the groom's restless nights. He spends hours pacing his room, his mind a swirling whirlpool of emotions - guilt, anger, and an unrelenting ache that he can't escape.
Time seems to stretch and warp, days blurring into one another as they wait for any sign of hope.
In their quest for answers, the groom and the family delve deeper into the investigation. They pore over surveillance footage, dissect phone records, and engage with law enforcement, all to piece together the puzzle of the bride's disappearance. Frustration and desperation mount as each lead seems to lead to a dead end.
Amid the despair, the groom finds himself drawn to the bride's belongings - her scent still lingers on her clothes, as he looked at his phone checking her last text message. He vividly remembered how she clenched his hands when they were about to enter his car. He clings to these fragments of her, hoping that by holding onto them, he can somehow keep her close.
Ya Allah help her and protect my wife where ever she is, it's been three days now. Yusuf prayed silently.
A knock came in while Yusuf was lost in thoughts.
"Assalamualaikum," Maryam said while opening the door to Yusuf's room.
He was lost, his mind was somewhere else, and he didn't notice her at all.
He was standing by the walk-in closet, holding one of Khadijah's clothes. He holds it to his heart as he was perceiving her scent.
Maryam hugged him immediately and she burst into tears.
He was strong, he wanted to act like a man but he found no energy in doing that.
After some minutes, Maryam finally spoke.
"Ummi is calling you," she said.
He couldn't speak, because his throat seems like a desert, and he can't remember the last time he took water not to talk of food.
Knowing he heard what she said, she matched out of the room.
When he got there, he found everyone sitting, as he looked at their faces, he could see the unending tears that left a mark on their eyes, which appear weary and swollen, mirroring the depth of their emotional pain. The once-bright gaze is now tinged with a muted sadness that reflects the weight of their heartache.
I felt angry and was ready to fight whoever kidnapped my wife.
"Did they call?" Ummi asked referring to the kidnappers.
"No Ummi, I don't think they will call," He replied.
"Why? Why do you think that Yusuf?" She asked.
"Because they don't need our money Ummi, They didn't take her because they want money," He said.
"Do you mean someone is behind this? Who could that be?" Ummi asked worriedly.
"Sadeeq, I'm sure it's that Sadeeq," Maryam quickly answered.
How didn't she think of him since? Oh god.
"Who is Sadeeq?" Ummi asked.
"How didn't I think of that guy? That stupid guy, if he dares put a finger on my wife I'll cut off his head," Yusuf said furiously leaving them in shock as he left the room immediately.
