LOVE IS THE LANGUAGE THAT TRANSCENDS ALL BOUNDARIES AND BRINGS US CLOSER TO OUR TRUE SELVES.
After about a week, Abbi invited Fu'ad over, and it all went well.
Abbi asked Fu'ad to inform his elders to fix the wedding date.
"Maimuna, we have not discussed the children's wedding," Ummi said to Umma.
"We haven't talked about it, these kids can keep secrets, I had no idea that they love each other," Umma said.
"I was suspecting them, one day I caught them together but they acted as if nothing is going on," Ummi said.
"Really? I never caught them and Khadijah never showed or talked to me about it. You guys hide it all from me," Umma said feigned sadness
"No, you know we can't force them to love each other that's why I didn't tell you so that we shouldn't expect something from them and it should fail," Ummi explained.
"Yes you have a point, I wish them a successful marriage,". My mother prayed.
"Ameen ya Rabbi, then we have to start preparing, because the whole marriage is on us, Marrying off three children at a time is not a joke", Ummi said.
"You are right, I'm pitying Abbi," Umma said
"Why?" Ummi asked.
"Because of this marriage thing, as you said marrying off three children is not a joke".
"Yes you are right, he said we will travel to buy kitchen utensils and furniture for the girls and also lefe for Yusuf". Ummi said.
"Masha Allah, where?" Umma asked.
"He has not yet decided" She answered.
"Okay then". Umma simply said.
The wedding day has been fixed, for five months.
Yusuf was over the moon, in a bundle of elation. He gleefully discusses his wedding plans with his inner mind, his eyes filled with love and anticipation. Every detail matters as he imagines the magical day ahead. His heart races with joy, eager to unite with his partner and embark on a lifelong journey of love.
"I just love how Yaya Yusuf is now, I mean he is so happy and free, Thank you Khadija for accepting his love, you are the best," Maryam said while hugging me.
"He deserves it, Baby, so stop thanking me, because I'm lucky to have him as a husband," I said.
"You are right". She said patting my back.
Just then a message popped into my phone, to my surprise it was Sadeeq.
"My love, your wedding date has been fixed after I told you I will make you mine. Stop everything before it gets late. See you soon, WIFEY!" Says the message.
"This guy is out of his mind, how dare he!" Khadija burst angrily.
"Who is it?" Maryam asked.
"It's this stupid guy, Sadeeq. Look at what he sent," I said angrily while handing my phone to Maryam.
"Indeed he is stupid, so he thinks he can stop this marriage?, He is dreaming". Maryam said.
"I don't know what to do to this guy again, I've talked to him the easy way but he failed to understand. I think he needs to see my other side", Khadijah said.
"Just forward it to Yaya Yusuf now, He will deal with him in no time", Maryam said.
"Okay then because I'm tired of him". I added.

"Your mothers are traveling tomorrow inshallah, to buy the furniture, kitchen utensils, and clothing for you guys," Abbi said as we were all sitting in the parlor.
"Abbi, where are they going to?" Maryam asked.
"They will go to India first then Sweden and maybe Italy, Your mother loves Italy so maybe this is an opportunity", Abbi said side hugging his wife.
"I think we will spend like 2-3 weeks inshallah", Ummi said.
"Remember I said 10-15 days, when did it turn to 3 weeks again?" Abbi asked.
"My dear we are buying almost everything there so why not spend enough time and do it gently, the remaining two months before the wedding", Ummi said.
"Okay then, we are not going on a honeymoon love, so please no expensive restaurants," Abbi warned.
"Deeaarr" Ummi whined like a baby.
"Yes, you know the last time we went to Italy you almost lead me to bankrupt," Abbi said.
"Thank Allah you said almost" Ummi laughed.
"So you guys have to maintain yourselves and be at home, your siblings need you by their side," Abbi said.
"Abbi are also going with them?" I asked.
"Yes Khadijah, they also need me by their side, I've been to many places there so I can guide them," He answered with a smile.
"Oh okay, We wish you a safe journey, and May Allah bring you back home safely," I prayed.
"Ameen ameen" They answered.
We spent hours discussing how the wedding would take place, Ummi being a very good event planner has contributed a lot.
The next morning, we took them to the train station as their plane would fly from Abuja, and one of Abbi's friends took them to the airport.
A home without parents is indeed incomplete. I felt lonely and then I started thinking about Abba, My father.
Since when Asmau's aunt told us she heard rumors that he was seen, I couldn't keep my mind at rest.
As dawn breaks, I yearn for the reassuring presence of my father, whose absence now weighs heavily on my heart. Memories of his harsh words echo in my mind. Though, my father has never shown me love and consign. But still, every moment without him feels like an eternity. The saddest thing is that I've no photograph of him not even on my phone, Umma has but she restricted us from taking it. I just want to see his smile. As days pass, the void he left behind seems insurmountable, leaving us adrift in a sea of emotions. Yet, I want to see him, I want to embrace him in a tight hug, I want to feel what I have never felt, I need him, I need my Father.
With the thought of my father, I drove to La La Land.
