THE MOON TEACHES US THAT EVEN IN OUR DARKEST PHASES, WE CAN SHINE WITH BORROWED LIGHT
I sat down in the sitting room, daydreaming about my parents.
"What are you smiling at, dear?" Yusuf asked.
"I'm just happy seeing my parents close to me again, and most importantly Abba has changed totally," I replied smiling broadly.
"Yes, that's right. It's indeed something to be happy about," He said while sitting on the couch.
"Yes, What do you want for lunch? You came back earlier than I expected," I asked.
"I will eat anything you serve me," He answered with a smile.
"Then, I will make spaghetti and sauce with meatballs,"
"Perfect, I hope you have made soya milk too, I want to take some before the food is ready," He said.
"Yes, it's inside the fridge, let me get you a cup then," I said.
"Don't worry I will get it, go and cook for your husband unless you want to starve him," He said.
"Okay sir," I said and left to the kitchen immediately.

"Assalamualaikum Mommy," Asma'u said over the phone.
"Wait what? Have you given birth?" I asked because I was really surprised.
"Yes, your best friend is now a mother," She said excitedly.
"Joke apart, when I called yesterday you said your EDD is next week," I said
"Exactly, but your baby didn't want to stay longer in my stomach, he wants to see his mom sooner," She replied.
"Oh my god! It's a boy right?" I asked, this time around almost crying.
"Yes yes, it's a boy, he looks like me babe, I've sent you his pictures just now," She replied.
"MashaAllah, hold on the call please let me check his pictures," I said.
"Okay okay," she answered.
"Asma'u, are you sure you gave birth to this handsome baby?" I asked because I just couldn't believe it.
"You can't believe it, right? I also doubted, until when I held him in my arms, that moment I believe I have truly given birth to him," She replied.
"Tabarakallah, But he looks like his father, see his cute nose please, I want him as a son-in-law," I said, making the two of us laugh.
"He's all yours you know, you don't need to ask," she replied.
"Of course, I'm his mommy, Are you coming to Kano or you're staying in Abuja?"
"I'm going to Kano immediately I'm discharged inshaAllah, Maybe later in the day," She replied.
"Okay okay, you will see us too by tomorrow inshaAllah, let me call Umma and tell her this good news," I said.
