IBN TAIMIYYAH (RA) SAID:
"WHAT REALLY MATTERS ARE GOOD ENDINGS, NOT FLAWED BEGINNINGS".I woke up in the morning, did the house chores, made breakfast for us, and arranged it on the dining table. I bathe my sisters, Ihsan, and Zara, as Amira said she has grown up, and I can't bathe her. That girl is just 10 years old.
"Amira, call Khalifa and Abdul from their room, you guys are running late," I said to my sister.
"Okay ya khady," she answered and hurriedly went to call them.
"Let's go," I shouted from outside.
We settled in the car with the driver in his seat.
Today is their open day at school, and I'm the one representing their parents who else would be?
We drove to the school which was like a 10-minute drive.
"Ya khady please let's go to my class first before the others", my little sister said. Zara. She's in Nursery one but she's as talkative as her cousin sister, Maryam.
"No, my class first, let's do it sharp." My other sister said, Ihsan.
"Okay, let's go to Zara's class first then yours, she's the youngest among you, right," I said, hoping Ihsan would agree.
Okay, let's go.
After going to Zara's and Ihsan's classes, we went to Abdul's class too.
On our way to Khalifa's class, as it was the last class to attend, he's in ss2. I bumped into someone, who happens to be their English teacher, or rather a copper.
Astagfirrullah! I said under my breath.
"I'm sorry please, I was in a hurry and bumped into you," he apologized first.
"No problem, sorry too," I said calmly.
"It's fine. He said. Alhassan, how're you." He asked, referring to Khalifa as his real name is Alhassan.
"Good morning sir, I'm fine Alhamdulilah.* My brother answered.
"Masha Allah that's good! Your brother is brilliant Masha Allah," he said.
"Masha Allah," I just smiled and said thank you. He bid us a goodbye and left.
"Umma my result is the most beautiful among them," Amira said as we step out foot inside the living room.
"That's great Masha Allah," Umma said happily.
I must say my siblings aren't dull. They are not too good, just the average. Tho they attended a poor school back in Kano, Masha Allah they are trying their best. Adding to that, Abbi hired a lesson teacher for them. So that helped.
After lunch, Maryam took us out for an outing with the kids as their results were looking good. They had good grades.
We bought some ice cream and popcorn as usual.
