To say I didn't understand what went on in Siege's head would be an understatement.
Siege and I?
The nature of our relationship?
It was more physical than anything. It wasn't a secret that we didn't know each other. There wasn't enough time for us to get to know each other. I wanted to begin a proper relationship with him. I wanted to examine the interworkings of his brain.
I wanted us to kiss but I wanted it to be a little more than that. I guess I was a little crazy to want something more. I was crazy to want to emotionally attach myself to him. I couldn't forget that it was LAST WEEK when he and his friends were burying me in a grave.
Then again, I wasn't one to dwell. Especially when I gaze into those jade orbs. The boy wasn't even trying to hide that his eyes did a double switch between colours as they so pleased.
We were seated in the entertainment area. It was in the farthest corner of the house. It was after for us to be caught cuddling there than in my bedroom. It was easy to sneak into the house. I had no idea if the workers were on a break but it was silent in the house. We didn't bump into anyone and we continued not to get caught by anyone.
I was surprised Katie hadn't headhunted me down to welcome my aunt back from her travels. What excuse did I have for bringing Siege, a werewolf, into a vampire household? It was a freaking risk I was only thinking about as I was resting my head on his lap. I was rested on my back on the couch. He was looking down at me with a gentle smile on his face. I wondered how easy for us it was to pretend that we weren't enemies.
It was a stroke of luck I was willing to test out to the maximum. Us not getting caught. I would risk heading upstairs when it was time to sneak him out. It was a pleasure to be living in an unneeded huge dwelling.
"So, you can spike into my conscious?" Siege questioned me as he gave me an expression of question.
"Mine."
The thought wasn't mine and it wasn't said out loud by either of us.
"It happened that one time." I spoke about our time in the storage room as if it wasn't a mere few hours back. My smile was bright and quite charming if I did say so myself.
"You know what it means?" He questioned me as he placed a hand on my head to brush down his hand.
"I have my vampire abilities?" I questioned him with a raised eyebrow.
"That doesn't work on were-folk. It means we have a predestined bond." He explained to me as his smile didn't falter. He took his free hand and placed it on the hands I had interlinked on my torso.
I chuckled at his words. Siege didn't seem like the type to be saying those kinds of things to anyone. That day he was acting weird to my understanding. He was supposed to like be but be in major denial about it. He's expressing his emotions to me in a sweet manner was ringing a lot of alarms in my head. Almost as if he wanted something from me. I was too happy to trust the gut feeling. Why did I need to when there was nothing he could gain from me?
"I'm not joking." Siege told me as he gave me a look of confusion. He looked serious for e moment.
"I understand that I know nothing about the supernatural realm but you gotta try harder than that." I told him as I narrow my eyes at him challengingly.
"How about...my eye colour changes from grey to green when I see something I like." He told me as he continued to use his hand on my head to play with the fluff of my hair.
I snorted as I shook his head with a smile still brightly lit on my face. He nodded at me as he widened his eyes as if to coax me into believing the lies of his words.
