Cindy

We were fools.

It was something that we had accepted a long time ago. We weren't trying to be anything we were not. We weren't trying to fit in a box that was too tiny to fit into. We were Cindy and Prince. We broke laws. TIME laws. We showed the universe every day that love is what comes along and makes you the happiest in life. It's not scripted. It's not supposed to be scripted and it won't be.

Point was. Veéta was going to fall in love with Siege.

Um, everyone saw that one coming don't pretend as if that was a spoiler!

She was going to fall in love with him because the freaking 'universe' willed it. One could call them soul mates or whatever but we weren't about labeling and branding stuff.

Since we were time travelers and knew exactly what would happen and when we knew it was going to get ugly. Then it would be GREAT for a while and then we would have to get involved and backstab a few people-

Okay, I get it, you don't understand where I'm going with this.

To ensure that they wanted to be together. That they would have chosen each other no matter what.

It was already happening. Not to seem as if we were creeper creeps but we were and we were watching them.

When did it start happening? Was it when they kissed on the rooftop? Was it when he let her drink his blood in an attempt to calm her? Was it when he hunted meat that was guaranteed to satisfy her? Was it when he defended her against his grandmother? Was it when he allowed himself to feel on their drive back?

Siege spoke a lot of things and did a lot of things that would make anyone assume he was setting aside his emotions. He was fooling himself the most with his actions. I didn't realize it but he kept on subconsciously choosing her.

It was honestly the most adorable little thing!

''It's time.'' Prince spoke to me as he rang the buzzer to the intercom of their gate. It was a little while after the gang dropped off Veéta. We gave her enough time to recollect herself and call those who needed calling as it was already Friday. We knew people would want to know where she disappeared off to.

''Hello?'' Veéta's voice came shortly after Prince pressed the buzzer. I looked into the camera and gave her a wave.

''Hey, this is Cindy and Prince. We're here because we have some information on the whereabouts of your friends that were supposed to arrive today.'' Prince spoke into the intercom with about the most awkward tone I had ever heard from a human soul.

''This isn't a cop show.'' I told him as I turned to shake my head at him.

''Okay, come in then.'' Veéta replied as the gate buzzed and clicked open. Prince was the first one to walk up to the gate and nudge it open. I followed his pursuit and let him close the gate behind me.

We walked down the pathway that led to the front door. The pathway was surrounded by wide grass and trees that showed the plot had been around for centuries. I put my hand in Prince's and let myself imagine we were simply walking on a date. No crazy magical adventures to attend to.

Did I hate the adventures? Hell no, they were the pride of my life. Shoving myself in people's drama for the greater good was quite enjoyable. The problem was that we didn't have all the time in the world. We couldn't use the time-altering devices too much because of the 'laws'. It meant that we didn't get a break until the disaster was over. The last time we went on a date was the last final battle. We went to a ball and enjoyed half the night before jumping into action to save the Cinderella of that timeline. It made me realise that we had to find the moments in-between to act like a proper couple.
