A/N: Hey guys! I made one more change to the story. I changed Lloyd and his family's last name to Miller in the previous chapters because, as Misako said before in Ch. 22, they changed their last name, so they weren't connected to Garmadon or the Elemental War in the history books. I realized that I never actually changed their name any where after writing that so.... whoops. But! luckily, it's all fixed now. Hope you enjoy!
Hundreds of Years Ago...
The land of Ninjago was prosperous. Crops were plentiful, the water was fresh, and the civilians were at peace. The Ultimate Battle between the OverLord and the First Spinjitzu Master had long be over; everyone was still joyous that the years under that wicked king's rule were finished.
Afterwards, Ninjago's grand hero was able to settle down and start a family. For many years, the wise man taught his two sons about the importance of selflessness and bravery. He knew he wouldn't be alive forever, so he wanted to leave Ninjago in the hands of his children.
Both sons possessed half of the First Spinjitzu Master's power. One carried the power to create while the other carried the power to destroy.
As the sons grew older and the once grand hero weakened, the two boys were becoming the strong protectors their father always wanted them to be. Together, the young men fought off Serpentine, skeletons, pirates, and much more. The Spinjitzu Master's sons seemed unstoppable. However, every hero carries a weakness...
"Hiya! You like that!? Well, take this!"
"Wu! Stop showboating, and save Misako and the captives!" Garmadon spat to his younger brother. Swords clashed every which way. The two protectors of Ninjago were up against a gang of pirates on their humongous ship. Garmadon dodged around five to six swords swinging his way. He blasted a puff of dark smoke at one pirate, but the power merely bounced off of him.
"Blast! Where did you sea scum get Venge Stone!?" the young man exclaimed over the roaring of the fight.
"From the depths of the sea, of course! You didn't think the OverLord's rocks merely vanished out of existence, did you?" Captain Soto mocked while swinging a sword at Garmadon. The young man countered it with his own blade, and the two continued.
Meanwhile, Wu was having the time of his life. It had been months since him and his brother battled against the forces of evil, so the adventurous teen was overjoyed. Wu dodged a few swords and kicked a few others to the ground while laughing with excitement.
"Wu!" Misako cried. Wu turned to his left to see a very ticked off girl. She and a few other civilians were tied up against the base of the ship's sail. Her brown hair was a pure mess, and the glasses resting on her face were cracked. The pirates had captured Misako and her expedition team to lure the boys into a trap.
"Oh! Right," Wu spoke with an embarrassed chuckle. The young man grabbed a barrel, tipped it to its side, and hopped on. He rode the barrel all the way down the ship's steps, running over pirates as he descended. At the bottom, Wu rushed over to Misako and sliced off the ropes.
"Took you long enough," Misako complained.
"Yeah, yeah, just help us out, would you?" Wu requested his brother's girlfriend before dashing back into the fight. The young scholar rolled her eyes. She tripped up one pirate and snatched his weapon. While the boys fought off the sea sailing men, Misako guided her team over to the row boat hanging on the ship's side.
Meanwhile, Garmadon continued clashing steel with Soto. The teen's back hit the ship's railing. The strategic captain had become strangely strong for a mere human. However, the Master of Destruction noticed that Misako and the other civilains were already getting away. Their row boat plopped into the water with a loud splash. Garmadon then smirked.
