Ninjago High was dead silent. Barely any commotion occurred inside the building from the absence of most of the students.

Creak!

The front door to the school opened slightly. Suddenly, Cole's head popped out from behind as he checked to see if anyone was around.

"I thought you said we were allowed to come after hours?" Jay asked him from behind.

"We are," Cole stated quietly before he slowly made his way inside. Jay and Zane followed casually, wondering what was up with the older teen.

"So then why are you tip toeing around as if we're about to rob the place!?" Jay asked dramatically.

"Ssssh! I don't want her finding me--Oof!"

In the blink of an eye, both Zane and Jay stared in shock to see the huge teen now being pinned to the ground by a girl. Jay rubbed his eyes to make sure what he was seeing was actually real.

"Okay, where did she even come from?" Jay questioned with concern. The girl blew her pink hair out of her face before glaring Cole down.

"You're late, Cole. Very late," Seliel spoke coldly.

"I had to help my friends with something--ack! Would you cut that out! That's starting to hurt," Cole replied as Seliel held his arms behind his back tightly.

"Well, that's what you get for ditching me. Nobody ditches me," Seliel remarked as she continued to hold Cole down.

"Okay, that's it!" Cole exclaimed before getting on his knees. He pulled at his arms before shoving Seliel off him. Seliel backed away while looking a bit surprised.

"That's new," Seliel pointed out his sudden burst of strength.

"Seliel, we need to talk to Principal Wu. It's an emergency," Cole stated.

"Wu and Lloyd are out again trying to find you know what, so you'll have to talk to him tomorrow," Seliel informed plainly.

"But I found two of you know what already," Cole replied as he pointed directly at Jay and Zane. The two younger teens glanced between each other, completely lost. Seliel turned away from Cole and stared blankly at Jay and Zane. Shock was clear on her face before she returned her gaze back to the older teen.

"Wu's office, now!" Seliel demanded as the three of them quickly followed the young warrior.

Once the four were inside, Seliel pulled out her phone and dialed Wu's number.

"Okay, can someone please explain to me what's going on? I thought we were getting help to find Mr. Julien," Jay asked in protest.

"We are, if anyone knows anything about the Elemental Gang, it's our principal. Trust me," Cole explained as he glanced over at Seliel, who was now on the phone. She motioned Cole to shut the office's door. The older teen obliged and strolled past Jay.

"Says the guy who has been hiding the fact that he's an Elemental Master," Jay remarked to Cole's earlier comment.

"Yeah, but that was for my own safety. The mayor announced last night that Elemental Powers are now illegal," Cole replied before reclaiming one of the office's chairs.

"WHAT!?" Jay shouted in shock until Seliel shushed him rudely. Jay pulled out his phone and searched up the latest news.

"I'm honestly shocked that it took the city this long to outlaw you guys," Seliel butted in as she put her hand over the phone.

"How have you not see it, yet?" Cole questioned Jay.

"I was busy all night working on homework and my invention! I guess I just--" Jay cut himself off once he found a video of last night's news. He clicked on it, and he could feel Zane coming up to watch too. The poor android carried a baffled face at all this new information. The video contained the mayor himself on a podium. Camera flashes covered him as he stood over everyone inside a conference room.
